Spa Fixers Reviews (5)

I am rejecting this response because:this equipment quit working 5 days after installed.you can call Master Spas who made my Spa if you need proof.I called [redacted] for the last year over 2 dozen times with no reply from him.I now have the [redacted] repairing my faulty heater for over $450.00 [redacted] ***

[redacted] response to the Revdex.com was full of lies. The new control box and heater he put in was an after market box and the heater failed within 7 days. As far as he coming back, he did come back one time and installed a GFI circuit breaker. All of his other responses are lies and deceit.
All I want is to have this go on his record so future customers don't get the shaft that I got.
I'm currently working with [redacted], the manufacture of the control box he put in to get me Spa pumps to work on two speeds the way they were designed to work from the manufacturer ([redacted]) and I also working with [redacted] and the [redacted].
I'm also trying to get my LED lights in my spa to change colors the way they did originally.
Mr. [redacted] is a dishonest person and the public deserves to know about him and his practices.

Response:

Response to [redacted] Complaint 2-25-15 To Revdex.com As you can see in attached copies the service was on 10-05-2013 NOT 2014. Attached copies of check with deposit slip. Deposit 10-07-13. As you can see below his equipment has a one year parts only warranty. This warranty was up on 10-05-14 (the date he claims his spa no longer worked). He can get any local service company to do his service since there is NOT any warranty left and the warranty was through the equipment mfg ([redacted]) NOT Spa Fixers. Spa Fixers can act as service agent to repair or replace as per warranty through Hydro Quip. Copy of owner’s manual is attached and the back pages list warranty info and procedures. To all original purchasers, [redacted], warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of manufacture. [redacted] will, at it’s discretion, repair or replace any part which has been found to be defective. This warranty excludes damage as a result of: normal wear, freezing, low voltage, chemical abuse, accident, negligence, alteration, improper installation, use or care. To obtain warranty service, return defective products within the warranty period to [redacted]. The [redacted] Limited Warranty is for service on the control box only. Purchaser is responsible for removal or reinstallation labor, freight charges, or any other such costs incurred in obtaining warranty service. [redacted] assumes no responsibility for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. If you are the end user for this control system, the spa dealer may provide a different warranty; contact your spa dealer for details and warranty information. This is an equipment pack that is very reliable and we have used this for many years. A list of the number of packs we have purchased can be provided from our vendor if needed. Also as you can see by the number of our complaints Spa Fixers has, none, that if we were using inferior equipment, as Mr. [redacted] suggests, we would have a number of complaints about this. The serial number [redacted] of his spa also has a date code. The first digit “4” indicates this was manufactured in 2004. It is common for spa that are 10 years old to have issues and as long as the surface shell structure is not cracked, blistered, and cosmetically ok it is worth the expense to keep and fix the equipment but you should not expect any used spa to be as new. As you can see from the original signed invoice dated 10-05-13 the customer also knew the auxiliary buttons were not going to function. These are two buttons mounted close to the seats so that you can control the operation of jets in the respective seats without moving to the front of spa and using the main control panel. The old buttons are not compatible with newer updated equipment that was used. You can however remove these older style buttons and install a mini topside panel for $168 at any time. He is not without he just didn’t want to pay extra for this feature. He saved over half of the cost of new equipment from [redacted] control box which was discussed before he made the discussion to purchase less expensive unit. Equipment upgrades are very common and Balboa Instruments, mfg of circuit board in new control box was the same maker of PC Board in the old unit. Here is a brief timeline of work done. 10-05-13 10:34 – 2:28 Equipment replaced. 3:52 – 5:05 returned same day to get the lights to work with existing led control unit 10-06-13 3:53 - 5:05 Returned to get the existing lights to work. Newer equipment uses different light controller with different voltage. Ordered new light control from factory 11-07-13 12:51 – 2:30 Mounted GFCI box for safety and to bring up to code. Spa still working to spec. 11-18-13 11:15 – 12:01 Installed new light controller that was on order. Light now working to spec and colors change as should. Spa still running and operational. 11-20-13 11:18 – 1:07 Customer said spa was not working. Found water dripping on power supply which was tripping GFCI. Stopped water from dripping on unit and dried it out. Unit once dry, works and spa again functioning as should. Note: This was a totally separate issue with the older spa and had nothing to do with the upgrade. The customer was also not charged for this as a courtesy and thank you to him because of his business to Spa Fixers. The last complaint of spa not working since the equipment was installed is invalid and not true. Now as to the treats from voicemail, which is also attached, I am more than happy to help any of our customers unless threatened or cursed at. Any local service company can help him now with his hot tub. I have went over and above what I am responsible to do and after these comments I will no longer do any service for him. As you can hear he is going to ruin me and, well, I believe the voicemail speaks for itself.

I was having problems with my spa and I had call several spa repair companies to fix the problem. Two of the companies didn't bother to show up for the appointment. One got mad and left, and the other two had no clue what was wrong. Then I was given a number to Spa Fixers. I spoke with John Schrader, who I must say was very knowledgeable and informative. After a few minutes of talking he set up an appointment, and showed up on time, and in less then 30 minutes had my spa running like new, and his rates were more then reasonable. Two thumbs up for John Schrader at Spa Fixers. I would recommend him to anyone wanting their spa fixed right the first time for a great price. Many thanks to Mr. Schrader you are the best.
