To Whom It May Concern
I am writing this as a formal complaint against Spa Things and Ish, LLC. I attended an event called a Spa Brunch that was held by the owner of Spa Things and Ish, LLC, Mekighia J. In the advertisement of the event attendees were promised a facial, massage, manicure, pedicure, a yoni steaming session, brunch, mimosas, a personal gift, and a personal photo all for one price. I purchased 2 tickets and won a raffle for one ticket for the spa brunch event. I paid $80 for one ticket (via Venmo) and $50 for another (via Cashapp). Me and 2 of my friends went to the event on 2/8/2020. The event was advertised for 10am to 8pm. We did not receive any of the services. There was no photographer available for the personal photo. We did not receive a personal gift. There was no vendor available for a facial. The brunch that was provided was only a food tray from ***. There were over 50 guests present so the tray was not enough. The event was held at a hotel and the services (manicure, pedicure, massage, facial, and yoni steam) were all to be given in one hotel room. This was an issue for a lot of people because we were asked to get undressed in the presence of a lot of people.
Eventually the police were called due to the “staff” fighting the attendees of the event. The event was shut down and services were not rendered to many attendees including myself and my two friends. One of my friends spoke with the owner. The owner hand wrote a memo stating she will follow up regarding a refund within 24 business hours and signed her name. I sent her an email requesting a refund on 2/8/2020. I also sent a *** message on 2/9/2020. The owner replied stating she will not give a refund. Technically the event was canceled because it was shut down due to the “staff” of Spa Things and Ish, LLC. I would like a refund.

Mekighia J falsely advertised about an event her business was hosting / running. Tickets for this event were $80 and were supposed to include a manicure, pedicure, facial, massage, yoni steaming, brunch, dessert, mimosas/cocktails, a gift bag and a personal photo taken by a photographer. There were over 100 attendees who paid to be there. Brunch was promised to be served between 10 a.m- 11a
m and wasnt served until 10:45. There was omly3enough food to feed 10 people at the most. There were no mimosas/cocktails, gift bags, personal photos or dessert. The services were all being done in the 1 small hotel room. There wasn't any kind of sanitation or disinfecting besides the yoni steaming and massage lady. The nail techs were using the same nail files on each attendee. They had buckets of water used for the pedicures. The facials were done in the same vicinity as the yoni steaming(*** steaming cleanse).The event got shut down because the owners "staff" started fighting in the hallway. There were over 50 attendees at LEAST who did not receive any type of services that were advertised. The owner refuses to give anyone a refund as she no longer has the money to do so. She plans tonhost the same event in Atlanta in April 2020. Do not let this woman scam any more people. We bought 5 tickets and that money went down the drain. She hasn't even apologized to the vendors nor the attendees as I was both.

This company advertises we would receive mimosas, brunch, facials, pedi / mani, a photo & guest speakers. Myself nor my assistant received any of these things. Actually probably 75% of attendees didn’t receive their services. I paid $50 to vend from 10a-8p & $40 to attend. I have my assistant $40 to pay for her entry as well. This event shut down due to an argument/fight which involved some of her “volunteers” at 3p. I drove 3.5 hours to this event, assistant drove 2 hours. A lot of us are asking for refunds which she (owner) states she has a no refund policy but services were not rendered making the contract breeched. We were also told there would be 6 ft tables to use to vend on, that was incorrect as well. The owner has banned me from commenting on the business *** page and has not returned my message left with her
