The above mentioned person? rented a storage unit on March 19, 2017.? The last time we received payment from the tenant was August 24, 2017.? Once a tenant becomes days past due they are placed in the lien sale/auction, as outlined in the KRS 359.200- KRS lien law.We communicated back and forth mainly via email on several occasions during this timeI have all the emails from the tenant and our replies back to the tenant.? I can easily provide if needed.? The tenant had been in one lien sale prior to this sale and knew our policy.The tenant sent an email on? Saturday, Dec 9, and said I do not want to lose my items.? We emailed back and told her she could call the payment in over the phone with her debit or credit card she could.? She emailed on the 10th ask what the amount needed to hold it out.? She emailed on the 11th and said she was filing a complaint.? ? Despite what the tenants complaint states we have no evidence that she attempted to mail payment nor have we received the payment she states she mailed as of this date.? She would not provide proof.? We would have accepted that as our notes and emails reflect.? We did tell her she? could wire the money and that we would pick the money up for her.? The tenant never offered to pay in cash.? We accept cash, money order or debit/credit card from a tenant that is in the lien sale.? We take many legal steps in order to auction a tenant’s unit.? Again, I am happy to mail any additional information if you need.? IE, emails, notes made in the system, copies of her lease that states the process in being in an auction.? Please let me know if you need and the address to mail.? ? Our company has been in business since 1978.? Selling a tenant’s unit is not something we have ever want to do.? We take every measure we can to try and avoid this process.? ? Again, if there is any additional paperwork I can supply please let me know by responding to this email.? ? ?
