Marie, We have installed thousands of jobs across the valley and customer service is something we take very seriously Our trip charge for warranty work on our garage cabinet installations has always been $ The job we installed for Mr*** was installed in For a job that was installed over years ago, we believe a $charge is more than fair.Mr*** faxed us an information sheet about our company that he was given by our sales representative This however, was not a copy of our warranty If Mr*** can provide a warranty that does not clearly communicate our policy, we would gladly take care of this at no charge.Thank you for your time,Space Solutions

Samantha,
Mr*** refused to pay a trip charge of $75. Our warranty clearly states that there is a trip charge on all garage cabinet warranty work after a year period from when the cabinets were installed. These cabinets were installed in
2006.
Thank you,
Space Solutions

My purchase contract with Space Solutions included a warranty, neither of which specified a trip charge. I informed Space Solutions that my purchase contract and warranty did not have this disclosure/requirement, and at their request I faxed a copy of my contract and of my warranty card to Space Solutions. The owner then acknowledged that the warranty was changed a few years after my purchase, wherein they added the per trip charge. I have attached my purchase contract, the warranty they provided me, as well as the confirmation of the faxes sent.

Review: I purchased a garage cabinet package from Space Solutions on 6/22/2010. From that date until present I have had to call the company to my residence 3 times for the cabinets coming loose from the wall, shifting and poor door alignment. The first time they adjusted the doors. The second time they just added a side panel to cover up a crack in a board. The board they added just added more weight to the entire cabinet assembly which was already falling off the wall because it was never properly secured to the wall. This most recent time they inpected the base and said that the base is giving away due to moisture. And that the entire weight of the cabinet is on the base and that the cabinets are not secured to the wall for strength. I was advised from the company Space Solutions when I purchased the cabinets that I buy a commercial mop and bucket to clean my floors that way no excessive water will damage the base of the cabinet and that it will easily hold up to the contact from a mob. I did so and have only cleaned my garage floor with a squeezed out mop. As stated in the warranty it clearly states to use a damp cloth to wipe the surface. I strongly belive that the product they use, a wafer style particle board, as a base to hold up the entire weight of over 1000# lbs is a design flaw as wafer style particle board cannot handle any type of moisture with out having an effect on its bonding structure. Their warranty clearly states no excessive moisture. A mop is not considered excessive moisture especially when their sales rep recommends it. The base should be made of some sort of presure treated wood to withstand any type of moisture. I have no water leaks, my garage door does not leak when it rains, the only moisture ever to make contact with the base is from a mop and thats not excessive.

I'm asking the Revdex.com to look into this as I am not the only customer with this problem as I have found out on the web through the review page that there are others with similar complaints. I'm hoping that the Revdex.com can help me resolve my warranty issue.Desired Settlement: For the cabinets to be properly secured and the base be replaced with the proper product.

To whom this may concern. This customer has had us out on another occasion 11/15/2011 we tended to the repair and advised at that time there was water damage and that water damage is NOT covered under warranty. He was advised that continued water damage or existing could result in further damages not covered by warranty. He called us out for another repair 11/20/2013 which was a direct repair needed due to water damage. We did not state we could not repair we just advised of the cost associated to repair because of the nature being assciated to damages incurred by negligence of customer and not covered by warranty. At that time the customer was agered and threatened our employee by getting directly in his face with his finger and cursing with extreme profanity. Our employee [redacted] advised customer to calm down which customer did get out of his face but contiued the threat and profanity. Our employee thought in his best interest to leave which he did. The customer called the office stating our employee broke his door. I talked to [redacted] he stated he absolutely did not and that he was there when the customers 2 large dogs stormed in and knocked the door back and took off it's hinge. This customer had beed advised of the repair and warranty guidelines at that time and again this last week. We were more than accomodating heading out there everytime he calls for a repair. Please let me know if you need anything else. I did include the notes our shop manager who went out there and took also the pictures.

Several blaten lies are presented in the response from Storage solutions. The first and most important is that they say they advised myself on their first warranty visit that I was getting the cabinets wet. This is a false statement. The only water that makes contact with the cabinets is from a mop that was advised from Storage Soultions when I purchsed the garage cabinets. The shop manager, [redacted], blames the bottom support boards for the cause of the cabinets coming off the wall but yet when a floor jack is used to raise them because [redacted] insist that is the cause, the cabinets do not move. The cabinets are not sinking into the bottom, they are falling off the wall because they are improperly secured to the wall. Further more I DID NOT get into the service techs face or point my finger, He is a liar. But I admit I did drop the "F" bomb once because I was angry that he tried blaming the customer for the defect of the poorly secured cabinets. The first service trip out had nothing to do with the concern of the cabinets falling off the wall. It was for a cracked board. This business needs to address the issue and not try and pass the blame onto the customer because they see an opportunity to do so becase the heat has caused the glue that holds the paper onto the toe kick board to dry up.

I am responding with the following reply.

We have a Great warranty in place for our customers. This is a limited lifetime warranty.

I have attached the executed agreement between us and Mr. [redacted]. We pride

ourselves on helping our customers no matter the situation. That being said we

have a business to run and have a warranty with guidelines in place to operate

this business accordingly. We have no problem tending to Mr. [redacted]'s repair

request. There will be charges associated with that repair. Our professional

shop manager who has processed and executed thousands of installs and many

repairs has made the sound decision and fair report that the damages are due to

water damage (not covered under warranty) I will also attach the repair estimate.

We did include a discounted rate. Please advise if you have any questions you can call

us here at the office. [redacted]. I noticed the Revdex.com letters come to [redacted] but she does not

handle this type of matter so you may ask for [redacted]. Have a great day =-)

Review: One section of my garage Space Solutions cabinets' cabinet trim, which is connected to the doors via hinges, is broken. It broke when opening the door, evidently as a result of not being secured adequately to the cabinets and then breaking away from the weight of the cabinet doors. I contacted Space Solutions in early February 2014 requesting a warranty repair. After several calls, a repair was scheduled for March 4, 2014. Space Solutions did not show for their appointment. I contacted them again, and they indicated the lifetime warranty was limited, indicating the limiting language was printed on the back of the order. I checked and that was not the case and my warranty statement was no less or more than this statement on the paperwork I received: "Space Solutions guarantees our work with a Lifetime Warranty that is backed up with a perfect record from the [redacted] and Revdex.com (Revdex.com)." They promised a return call, which I never received. After a few weeks waiting, I contacted the owner. After several calls, one of which was returned by the owner, he left a message indicating he would send out a repair person, and asked for my availability for the upcoming week for an early morning appointment. I left a return message, sharing my availability (available 2 of the mornings that week).Desired Settlement: (continued from above) I never received a return call or message. By that point, I had made over 12 calls to Space Solutions and had driven home from work during a work day and spent more than 3 hours (including 50 minutes drive time) waiting for them to show for a scheduled appointment.

Desired outcome: Fully repaired trim, matching trim and cabinets, and a thoughtful apology for the poor treatment I have received throughout this process. If I was the owner, my apology would include a gift certificate to a nice restaurant as a recognition of the poor treatment they provided and their interest in my business. I must honestly assess that I regret I referred a neighbor on Moon Valley Drive to them, who also purchased a full garage of cabinets from Space Solutions, a company that appears to have no interest in providing minimal warranty service.
