Spadafore Oil & Energy Company is a great company to have for your heating energy service and oil. They are very prompt in responding to your needs. The phone staff is very curtious and the delivery workers are very professional. I have been with this company for over15 years. My family is very greatful for what they do.

did not quote price after they changed agreement/rude/did not make clear change in cost/never told min delivery for deal in writingI contacted the above company inquiring what offers they have for new home owners w/oil. They responded one time delivery [redacted] gal w/credit check and sign up for auto delivery. I attempted to sign up on their site after the credit ck and it would not allow me too due to an error on their end with the property listing. I spoke w/them on the phone, explained we never want our take below half a tank and asked to schedule a delivery. I am disabled and live on a fixed income. I was told that they require a min of over 150 gal which was not disclosed in the email w.quote and that "it was not worth their time to come out for anything less." I said I needed to check with my husband about signing up for that because we are trying to control the cost of our bills, he asked if I wanted the delivery still and I said yes. He never once said to me that the price would be different. I had tried after that conversation to sign up for auto delivery and I received an error message that I copied and pasted and sent to them. I received a bill for the full amount and not what the original quote. I inquired about the difference and was told I did not sign up for auto delivery. He never made it clear to me on the phone of the price difference. When I tried to work with them about this he referred me to the email and that I did not sign up and that they are "not misleading me and not bending the rules for anyone either!"I am furious as they never told me that their was a different price. He has (Mike) upset me so much my disability is greatly effected by stress. I have MS and Fibromyalgia along with many other things. He is rude and unprofessional. He failed to properly inform me that the reduced cost would not apply because at that moment on the phone I did not agree to auto delivery, because they never disclosed in their email to me that with auto delivery their is a min. requirement for them to come out to your home. Date of delivery is 12/20/13 119.4 gal with a bill for [redacted] or [redacted] if I pay within 10 days. So [redacted] or [redacted] not the [redacted]I would of NEVER used them had I known they were going to charge me the different amount.Also when their employee was out to our home to clean the furnace he told my husband and I our home was not within code with the intake and output. He told us we needed to change it. I contacted the inspectors and had them come out seeing how we just purchased the home. They measured everything and said it was within code and he was just trying to sell me something. I am very concerned at who else this happens too and feel you should know. I was not properly informed of the cost of the delivery while on the phone and he never said to me, you know the cost will be this because you are not signing up for automatic delivery. Had he said that I would of held off. Just like the email offering the cost for the first delivery never said they have a minimum amount required for delivery'sThank you for your time and assistance. Desired SettlementI would like the bill to reflect the amount I thought I was paying which is [redacted] per gallon. They must be honest and upfront with what they are charging you and also their requirements for min. amounts. That was never disclosed in the offer to me. I would also like the credit check removed from my credit bureaus since the inquiry will negatively effect me. It is not fair that they run a check on you and then burn you as well. Business Response Good Afternoon, In response to the claim from Ms [redacted] regarding her discrepancies on her oil delivery pricing, we do not offer 1st time delivery gimmicks on a regular basis, but we will match other competitors pricing in the area if we have the offer in print and the same rules are followed in the offer. We had explained to Ms [redacted] by many e mail conversations which [redacted] our [redacted] who has been with us for 20 years and knows his job well. In filling out her application for credit on line she requested call in service which would void the offer at the price she was asking for she would need to go on automatic service for the offer to be good. This was conveyed to her and she still did not want automatic service to get the price of the matched offer. I do not have anything from them telling me a minimum delivery and nor was that mentioned by the 15 or 20 year employee mentioned now by two seperate people now. I also had no choice but to call since their system would Not allow me to set up an account. I think my request continues to be ignored. How can I do business with a company whose employee has been allowed to lie and mmistreat a first time customer? Another employee telling my husband and I that our newly purchased home was not in code! I would like the inquiry removed please. I sadly have heard of other past customers having similar issues with their employee. I would like to be done with this stress and nonsense. Theyneed to accept that they were wrong, he did not clearly disclose all information tomake a clear decision and I never requested same day delivery since we still had plenty of oil. We were only trying to,prevent a huge bill which is what I expressed over the phone, causing the comment I needed to discuss it with my husband. I was told at one point its not worth them sending a truck here. Again, they can continue to have others write how great they think they are, we had a horrific experience with their employee. I would like for this company to stop dragging this out and remove the credit inquiries. That's it. Thank you. Enough dragging on, I made it clear what I wanted from the start. I did my part by filling it out,trying to follow the 3 things, however, their computer would not permit it due to an error on their part. Also I do not recall same day delivery but maybe. We are a full service oil, and hvac company based out of Leominster Ma, and have been in business since 1943. We strive for 100 percent customer satisfaction- Unfortunately at times a rare situation as this will arise.On 12/15/2013 "emails attached" my [redacted] whom has been here for over 15 years, ask myself if there was anything he could offer for special pricing for a new home owner. I informed [redacted] we could offer the 111 fill up at $ [redacted] cent per gallon, once the customer signed.up for our automatic delivery service. [redacted] relayed this information to [redacted] also informed [redacted] to call when her 275 gallon oil tank was at approximately 1/4 of a tank in order to make our minimum delivery requirement of 150 gallons. We do stray occasionally from this requirement, if a regular consumer is struggling, or on fuel assistance.On 12/20/203.3 [redacted] again spoke with our [redacted] and placed an order for heating oil. He then asked her if he could place her on our automatic service. [redacted] informed [redacted] she would have to speak with her husband, and let us know.We then made the delivery same day, and delivered 119.4 gallons which was below our minimum requirement at no extra charge.We are not here to hurt, or mislead anyone during these difficult times of high fuel prices. Our original agreement still stands, [redacted] cents per gallon once the customer signs up for our automatic service, and calls for the 1st delivery when at approximately 1/4 of a tank.
