I bought a house in Fairfax VA and the seller contracted the home inspection repairs to be completed by Gregory Spalding of Spalding Enterprises. I was given an old invoice with phone numbers on the invoice that are no longer in service. More than half of the items on the contract were not completed at all. Gregory admitted he was doing a favor a friend and did not complete the repairs himself. This violated the basic ethics of this license. His license should be revoked based on that alone. 3 contractors that I hired completed all the unfinished items on the contract and confirmed that Gregory should be reported to dpor and that certain items were not completed at all. He kept trying to convince me a connection piece was a check valve for the sump pump even after several water proofing companies already told me that he's trying to cut corners.
I can not speak on his quality of work that he would actually do because he never worked on my house personally but if you buy a house and have the repairs contracted to him. I would definitely give it a second thought over.

Jeff *** the previous owner of the home..... My dealings were with mr. only Mr. bought the house from mr.I have no idea what happened after we did the work I have no problem going there looking at it fixing it etc etc but I have no contract with mr. Please keep in mind when mr. purchased the home he had the opportunity to dispute any repairs at the table Again that's nothing new with me whatsoever Apparently when he purchased the home conveniently 3 ceiling fans went out He needed to replace the furnace The house started flooding The hose bib was broken Mr. live there for 20 years with his wife who is a retired FBI agent They do things right and legally he threatened mr. realtor and his own realtor and I can give you phone numbers if you need it Mr. asked us to do a couple things and we did them as he is a personal friend of mine This complaint is not legit it should never be held against me as I've been in business 33 years Mr *** purchased the home from Mr *** it has nothing to do with me whatsoever and this is wrong
