Spanish Springs Grooming Salon Reviews (2)

I've been taking my two dogs (Chihuahua) to [redacted] (groomer) at this facility since January 2014. When I called to make their first appointment I was quoted a fee of $10.00 per dog for bath and nails and then $20.00 for bath, nails and shave. The dogs are groomed once a month. On July 1, 2014, I called [redacted] to set up an appointment for July 3, 2014 @ 9:00 a.m. for bath and nails. My fianc dropped off the dogs at 9:00 a.m. along with a check for $25.00. The lady at the front desk told him that the fee for each dog is $20.00. He called me to let me know so I called and spoke with [redacted] (shop owner). She said that she charges $20.00 per dog. I told her that the appointment was with [redacted] and that I've been paying her $10.00 per dog. She said that [redacted] was out for the day and that [redacted] should have not been charging me $10.00 per dog. I told her that it sounded like she had a problem with [redacted] and not me. She then told me to come by and pick up the dogs. I feel I was treated badly by [redacted] when the problem is within her shop. My fianc told me that when he picked up the dogs she wrote on our card "not welcome".Desired SettlementAn apology by [redacted] ( the owner) for treating me badly for the non-communication within her shop. She is the owner and should know what is going on. Business Response To whom it may concern,On July 3, 2014, [redacted]'s fiancé' dropped off two Chihuahuas to my grooming salon, Spanish Springs Grooming Salon. Previously, the two dogs had been groomed by [redacted] for $10 each. The quoted estimate was $20 per dog, as a price sheet is set for a standard in any grooming salon. Our prices have remained lower than most grooming salons in the area. When [redacted]'s fiancé' was quoted, he informed her. In a matter of minutes I received a call from [redacted] stating she had previously paid $10 and wanted that same price. She became irate and demanded to speak with [redacted], "the owner." When I informed her that [redacted] would not be in and I am the owner of the grooming salon, she began yelling at me. I looked at her client card and saw that she had previously been charged $10 and realized that [redacted] had given her an introductory offer for the two Chihuahuas. She informed me rather rudely that she was on her way to pick up her two Chihuahuas and I better not, "hurt her dogs!" Then she threatened to sue me if I harmed them. Had she have not screamed at me, I would've given her the offer and let her know the price would change from this point forward.I am in the business of animal care. I would never hut an animal. The grooming salon has been open for six years. If I offered grooming at $10/dog I wouldn't be in business considering groomers are paid a 50% commission. I let her know we were invoking our rights to refuse services to her in the future. Please consider my e-mail reply as a response. I have left a message with the Revdex.com's Associate Vice President previously and have not received any further calls.Thank you for your time, [redacted]Spanish Springs Grooming Salon15 Eagle Canyon Dr. Ste. 104Sparks, Nv 89441(775) 424-0866

Worse grooming I feel my 4 year old Yorkie has ever received on March 7, 2016.Today, I was told by another groomer, my puppy nails were not done by the previous groomer. When I picked up my puppy, he smelled like baby powder, which I am allergic to, so I had to bath him, I could not believe how dirty my wash water was, as if they did not even bath him. I also asked him to be groomed to 1/2 inch but they left it 1 inches not giving me the cut I requested. I was going to leave the issues go until I found out I paid for services I did not receive. Desired SettlementI am requesting a refund for the services I did not receive. Bathing, nails and cut. Thanks you! I spent $50.00. Business Response To whom it may concern,As per request from Revdex.com, Spanish Springs Grooming Salon replies and disputes [redacted] claim. First off, Spanish Springs Grooming Salon has been owned and operated locally for 9 years. We take pride in all of our work. If there was an issue with [redacted]'s dog's grooming, it would have been rectified immediately within the salon had she mentioned any issues upon payment and picking up her dog. The services rendered were a $40 shampoo, ear cleaning, nail clipping and an additional service of tooth brushing for an extra $10 charge. All services were rendered and are non-refundable. $50 was paid to Spanish Springs Grooming Salon. I would also like to mention [redacted] claims her dog smelled of baby powder. There are no baby powder or baby powder-like products used within the salon. Oatmeal shampoo is used with every groom. If that was perhaps what she smelled and confused it with baby powder it discredits her argument of her dog not being bathed and groomed.
