BUYER BEWARE!!! These scam artists show that they cover an assortment of treatments. The catch however which they put somewhere hidden is that you have a ONE YEAR waiting period for most services. I broke a tooth and needed oral surgery but they won't cover it until I have been with them a year.

This company shouldn't even be allowed on healthcare.gov as they have dishonest scheming practices that hook you into a policy only to find out later you are helpless for a year.

Worst company I've ever dealt with. I have a BILL for a new account in hand. I try to go online following THEIR instructions and I keep getting an alert saying that they can't find me. I HAVE A BILL IN MY HAND. I try to call them and they are closed for 4 days. I have never had a company work so hard to NOT take my money. Times must be good.

Order of Events:December 21, 2013 – Customer purchased gas logs for their fireplace from us.  We did not install.  They either installed themselves or had someone else install.February 8, 2016 – Received a service request stating that the pilot light was blowing out after about 30 minutes of operation.February 9, 2016 – [redacted], our Service & Scheduling Manager spoke with Mr. [redacted], quoted him the service charge ($246.27), which he agreed to, and set a tentative appointment for February 11, 2016.                                                        February 10, 2016 – Mrs. [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] to confirm the appointment scheduled for Thursday, February 11, 2016.  Mrs. [redacted] was quoted the same service charge and agreed to it. February 11, 2016 – [redacted], our certified technician, went to the [redacted]’s home to access and correct the stated problem with the pilot light.   Mr. [redacted] built up some ember material, around the pilot light, to try and shield it from whatever was causing the draft.  He stayed for about 35 minutes to make sure the pilot light stayed lit.  Mr. [redacted] asked if the customer was satisfied; she said yes and signed off on the service invoice and paid the full amount as agreed to.February 11, 2016 – Mrs. [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] after Mr. [redacted] had left and started complaining that:      1)  She shouldn’t have been charged since Mr. [redacted] was already in the area on other calls,      2)  “No real repairs” were performed,            3)  Said that she could have been told what to do over the phone.  Mr. [redacted] explained that it                             would be like having someone tell you how to fix your brakes over the phone.  Gas is a volatile                          substance and without knowing what was happening there would be no way to “talk her through                                                                                                                                      it” in a phone conversation,            4)  Mrs. [redacted] wanted to speak to someone in management above Mr. [redacted] and was told                  that [redacted], the owner, was out of his office but would get back to her,February 12, 2016 – Mr. [redacted] emailed Mrs. [redacted] at 4:24PM.  She wanted a breakdown of the charges which included our local base service charge of $85 plus $2.50/loaded mile (one way) x 57 miles to Marble Falls, Texas (outside our normal perimeter).  Our charges are based on other industry charges of a similar nature having to do with fireplace/chimney service work.  Mr. [redacted] explained that qualified technicians, specialized equipment and overhead are normal charges.  He attached our pricing breakdown chart which is located in our store for all customers to see.  Mrs. [redacted] then called Mr. [redacted] and further complained that we charged her to change the batteries in her system.  When Mr. [redacted] asked if the [redacted]’s had replaced the batteries recently she said no and provided batteries to him to install.  There was no extra charge for this service even though it was never mentioned in the original service request.    Mr. [redacted] offered her a discount to appease her.  She told him that he was “talking down to her”.  He was just trying to make the customer happy and the discount would have covered more than the sales tax on the mileage that she is focused on.Drafts are an outside problem not directly related to the working function of a gas log, concealed system.  Drafts can occur from pressure inside the home or swirling air that comes down the chimney when the damper is open.  If the logs/system have been moved or rearranged in any manner (i.e. cleaning of soot build up from a propane system), it will change how the pilot light performs.  This is our first service call from the [redacted]’s since they purchased the logs in December of 2013.A phone call was made to the State Comptroller’s office, by my office, on February 25, 2016 addressing this issue and verifying that sales tax IS to be charged on our repair services including, but not limited to, mileage.  Reference: Tax Code/Title 2. State Taxation/Subtitle E. Sales, Excise, and Use Taxes/Chapter 151. Limited Sales, Excise, and Use Tax/Subchapter A. General Provisions/Sec.151.007. “Sales Price” or “Receipts”.Mrs. [redacted]’s information from the State Comptroller’s office is incorrect.  Her statement was read back to the official when we called the State Comptroller this morning.  He said that information is given on “how the question/issue was worded” to whomever she spoke with.  She is confusing Real Property with Tangible Property. As a business, we were very clear as to how the inquiry was worded to obtain the information and statute contained in the above paragraph.  In conclusion we responded to the service request in a timely manner, did what we said we were going to do (and more) and charged her what both she and her husband had agreed to.  We believe Mrs. [redacted]’s complaint is unfounded. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]
