Spartan Paving - Thomas S[redacted] is now in Frederick MD and operating this business with out the required licensing. Working with Hot Shot paving from TX. Neither will provide you with a contract. They show up to work whenever it works for them. Needless to say I no longer have a paved driveway and he has my money!

Review: We engagaed with Spartan Paving for their services to pave our driveway with their product on April 5th. As they explained they would collect truckloads of composite and deliver that within the next week depending on weather and then would roll it out so it was smooth and then coat it with a non-toxic substance that would set the driveway in place like asphalt so that it would not errode with heavy rains. The pictures they showed of their work looked like the final product was a paved driveway. The agreement was to pay half 1,500 on start of the job, and the final payment of 1,500 at completion of the driveway. We paid 1,500 on April 5th. During the first week they delivered one truck-load of composite which was only enough to cover half of the area agreed upon. It was several weeks before they delivered another truck load of composite. At that time they requested a payment of 1,000 to pay their workers so they could finish the job. In good faith - we paid them the additional 1,000 they asked for in advance of the job completion. After cashing the check, they then said they did not have the equipment to do the other two steps - roll it out and set it with the sealer. They said the sealer was broken and they would fix it and finish our driveway within days.It is now June 6 and we have called them several times to see when they will bring the roller and spray the sealent. It has been two months since they brought the truck with the first load of composite and much of that has been washed away in recent rain storms. Our driveway is a mess and we can not get them to return our calls or give us a date for completion of the agreed upon work. They handed us off to another person named [redacted] who promised to come complete the driveway to our satisfaction on Saturday June 1. He never showed up and he never called to cancel the service of or inform us of a change. On June 2nd another heavy rainstorm washed much of the composite down the hill and into our Creek.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the driveway completed as agreed. Another truck of composite to replace that which was washed away, have it rolled out smooth, and sealed. If not - I would like a full refund.Thank you-[redacted]
