as per the complaint a portion of
the goods was originally left in CA
we stayed in communication with *** and her daughter throughout the process and advise that the goods will be delivered on the next truck to NV
since the date of the complaint the remaining of the goods where in fact delivered
potentially there are boxes missing and we are working to fined them and/or process a claim with accordance to DOT regulation and provide compensation accordingly

Mrs. [redacted] had 2 main issues with our service.
One, delivery, Mrs. [redacted] had received a $1000.00 compensation weeks prior to the submission of this complaint, thus she is not mentioning this issue in the complaint.
Two, in regards to damages, Mrs. [redacted] had purchased a 3rd party insurance through movinginsurance.com.
Spartan Van Lines had offered to contribute $700.00 towards her insurance deductible once the claim is done.
Once we learned that movinginsurance.com denied her claim, we offered to completely pay for the damaged computer over $2600.00.
That payment has been made!
A total compensation of over $3600.00 has been made to the customer.

I am very happy to say that I chose Spartan Van line for my moving porpoise, It was hard for me to choose at first, but now I am glad for everything this morning company did . They were professional and also friendly. If I have another moving in future I will definitely use Spartan Van line with no doubt. Thank you for your hard work .

We had a small move to make from the Bay Area to Oregon. This company did a great job for us. From Mercedes in the office to the movers on both end, everything went smoothly, and our items were delivered in great shape and faster than expected. Highly recommend this company for your moves.

I didn't know what to expect, after several government relocations, when I had to arrange my own cross-country move from San Francisco to Tennessee. I had read numerous consumer reports and company reviews , but was still nervous about going with one of the mainstream, larger national companies. However, these companies would not accomodate a small load of under 2000 pounds. Surprisingly, my move with Spartan Van Lines went more smoothly than I could have imagined, and surprisingly more efficient than my relocations. The loading crew headed by [redacted] and his staff of [redacted] and [redacted] showed up at the apartment early and were very efficient, professional, and courteous. I received my shipment on the other end seven days later, and can't say enough about driver [redacted] and his assistant, [redacted]. They too were efficient and effective, very personable and humorous. My move consultant [redacted] and operations coordinator [redacted] communicated throughout the move, and their responsiveness to inqueries impressive. Altogether, the professionalism extended to me by everyone associated with Spartan Van Lines went a long way toward making the stress of this cross-country move a pain-free experience. I would whole-heartedly recommend Spartan, especially to someone needing a reliable moving company willing to handle a small load at a reasonable price. Thank you!

SPARTAN VAN LINES did a fantastic job for us on our move from Redwood City, CA to Loomis, CA. The support team, particularly Mark Lavi, took care of us and answered every question we had in reference to the move. The delivery team did an excellent job moving us in; they setup the bedrooms, dining room and living room making it easy for us to get some needed rest on the first night in our new home. We are happy to recommend SPARTAN VAN LINES for there excellent job performance on our move.

I used Spartan to move my household goods from California to Colorado. I got to know about Spartan from a friend who had a positive experience with them. The initial process of creating a quote was very good. The person on email, and the person who inspected the goods, both were courteous and crisp in their communication. They explained in detail what is included and what is not included in the quote. They helped arrive at the least expensive option. The guys came for pickup on the time they promised. They packed and loaded everything nicely and carefully. The truck driver kept me informed about the delivery time. There was some confusion about the balance payment, but, it was resolved quickly. Spartan's dispatch person was in communication with me also, about delivery. The delivery truck came as promised. The guys triple checked the inventory while unloading. They moved everything into the house carefully. They worked inspite of the freezing weather. They unwrapped the furniture and positioned it in spots we wanted. Overall the experience with Spartan was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish.

I operate a relocation concierge service, so I'm constantly working with movers of all kinds. I help clients coordinate their moves and find great service providers. Spartan Van Lines was fantastic from start to finish, and I will definitely be calling on them again. [redacted] provided great customer service and [redacted] made sure everything went smoothly. My client reported the crew was on time, professional, and respected her belongings. They exceeded the expected transit time from CA to MI, and delivered her things without issue. Highly recommend!

We used Spartan for a long-distance move from the San Francisco area to Colorado.
We had a five-star experience from beginning to ending. Spartan's sales team was very responsive and customer-friendly. Spartan's packing/loading team was friendly, courteous, thorough and did a fantastic job of wrapping and securing our furniture and other items. Spartan worked constructively with us to schedule the unload, despite the fact that we had not identified our "ending" address when we started the move.
We had a couple minor hiccups, including a broken lamp. The reality is that moving sometimes results in some minor damage to household goods. Spartan's customer service group surpassed my expectations and resolved the hiccups in a fair and equitable way.
In sum, Spartan provided a five-star experience from beginning to end, and I would not hesitate to recommend the Spartan team.

I used Spartan to move furniture from my parent's house in CA to my house in IL. They were great. No surprises with pricing. Delivery in under a week. Movers were respectful. Really easy to work with all around. Would definitely use them again.

We moved from CA to TX. Everything went well. The packers came on time and goods were delivered on time. No breaks or loss. We thought goods will be transported by Spartan but it was done by some other company. No issues. I would recommend this company.

Spartan Van Lines turned from a great company to work with to a nightmare for my husband and I. During the quoting process the representative was generally responsive and helpful to advise us on the process and what we needed to do. When it came to picking up our things the movers were timely and worked very hard to wrap, pack and load all of our items onto their truck. It was after all of our things were taken away that the issues started. It is extremely scary leaving all of your belongings with strangers and hoping that on the other end they'll come out okay.
We expected that Spartan would've been empathetic during the move and would work to keep us informed of any issues/changes etc. The customer service representative was not emphatic or responsive. She failed to keep us updated on the status of our shipment and when the truck supposedly broke down in Texas she couldn't provide a simple "your things are okay". She was sarcastic and did not provide us timely answers on when we could expect our things. The company tries to make it sound like they don't subcontract the delivery and part of the move to another company. This is a lie and they need to vet their contracted companies better, especially if they are making it difficult to get information.
We didn't get our things until a month after they were picked up from our home and when they arrived many of the boxes were damaged and items were broken. Not just broken, but in bad condition. It was apparent that the company did not try to ensure the goods were well taken care of in transition. The delivery was a pain with the other moving company as well. We didn't find out until the day before that our goods were going to be delivered. The driver then could not give us a good estimate on timing of when he would arrive the day of.
When he did finally give us a window of time he arrived with our things, but no one to help him unload. During this time the driver determined how far it was from the truck to our apartment door and quoted us an outrageous price of $500 additional for a "long carry". We understood it was longer than most places, but the contract charges are unreasonable and $500 as a percentage of the total price is ridiculous.
We waited almost 90 minutes until the helper arrived and they finally began unloading. There was not enough help for the unloading/putting together so my husband ended up helping them with the unloading to make it go quicker. It still took 3hrs and at the end of it they didn't really unwrap anything. My mom and I were inside unwrapping all of the items that were wrapped previously. I felt like I should've sent the company an invoice for my time because there were 3 of us working for 3+ hours to help the two movers.
The price of our move was not cheap and then we had $300 in additional charges on the back-end that we didn't anticipate. Moving companies know they have you at their mercy because they have everything you own. I'd recommend trying to find a company that is known for customer service because i'm not sure what we paid for. We're still uncovering broken items. One of our boxes even had a footprint on it. It appeared they were throwing/kicking our things around. Fragile items were unloaded no differently than any other box and some were even put on the bottom of a pile of boxes.
I would never recommend them to do the move again. The people on the front end were great, but the company needs to work on their end to end process. Not worth what we paid for. In hindsight I would've rent a [redacted] van and driven it across country myself. This is a short list of the things I could say. They make it seem on the front end like it'll be a great experience and what we ended up with was a mess. The worst part is they don't seem to care and won't do anything to make up for the messes we dealt with.

We used Spartan for our long distance move from San Jose CA to Irving TX. The reason why I picked them was that they were ready to come to my house, see the stuff and give me an exact estimate for the move rather than me filling the inventory list etc. [redacted] was the representative. Two days before our move, we got a call from them stating the date and time when the packers will be coming. They were on time.

The team was awesome. They packed our furniture so quickly and were done in 4 hours. [redacted] explained everything to us related to what would be the next step etc. Half of the total amount was paid here.
Delivery:
They were on time. The driver called me 24 hours before arrival and 30 mins before reaching our house. [redacted] and his team were very efficient. He first walked the entire community as he had a huge truck. They got the stuff into our house very quickly.
The other half of the amount was paid here. None of the boxes or furniture were damaged.
I would suggest going with Spartan for any long distance move. We are very happy with their service.
