Spay Neuter Clinic Reviews (3)

My name is [redacted] and I am the veterinarian involved in this caseI have reviewed the case, medical record, and Revdex.com complaint.I can completely empathize with a client feeling as though he/she was "duped" or "scammed" as [redacted] has reported in this caseThis is the last thing Spay Neuter Clinic wants a client to feel after a visit to our clinicI speak for Spay Neuter Clinic as a whole when I personally and truly appologize for any miscommunication that left [redacted] feeling this way.In an effort to avoid any possible miscommunication and to avoid this feeling we have a system in place in which we obtain the client's initials on the medical record immediately next to any prices written down for services to be rendered that day as well as any medications given that day or medications that will be sent homeThe attached medical record (page in the emailed document) has a Blank labeled "Ear Mite Treatment" in which $was writtenThis is initialed by [redacted] , as were the prices for the cat neuter ($28) and the pain medication injection given for the surgical procedure ($15)When I personally (or my technicians) disuss with clients the possibility of ear mites in a pet and recommended protocol for how to proceed, I offer for us to either option ($10) ONLY clean the ears with an ear cleaner while the pet is under anesthesia, or option ($22) clean the ears as mentioned, also apply ear drops for ear mites, and send home the ear drop medication for the pet's owner to continue for three weeks at homeThese options are explained to the client in the exam room and once an agreement is reached the client initials the final priceIn this case option ($22) was initialed and this was the protocol that was followedUpon discharge of the pet, [redacted] was given the ear drop medication and explained how to administer-- this is not part of option 1-- and this is done before payment is accepted.I want to once again sincerely appologize for any miscommunication and [redacted] 's feelings of being "duped" or "scammed"This is what we strive to avoid on a daily basis, and I will personally guide my team to strive for utmost communication between us and clients in the future.Thank you, [redacted] ***

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2015/09/30) */ I had responded to a bid request sent to me from thumbtack as I put my info for a customer response I got connected by text to [redacted] and an appointment was set up for Friday the 4th of Sept for 1:00pm I arrived to be greeted by [redacted] as he was [redacted] husband and he showed me all the areas he was requesting to be painted, stained and potential other misc repairsThe areas include as follows: Exterior of home trim to be restrained, surface s in front of home to be lightly sanded then stained this was all trim only, shutters in front of home, pilers and back of home balconies the home we also wanted to spray down to remove dirt etc now at the time this agreement took place neither [redacted] or [redacted] had a clue of the actual color that was already on the home and they thought it was a paint not stain they stressed to me that the homeowners association will be unsatisfied of the painting if the correct materials were not used well long story short our first agreement for areas was $then I leave to only have [redacted] call me once more because he forgot to mention other areas and asked if I could return and get the correct amount added up so that they can then decide to take the bid or not after the items extra was added then the job bid was now $including all materials paint, stain, patch materials etc also the agreement was that [redacted] was going to replace one door so we could paint that white, a basebo ard that [redacted] was not able to remove so I patched the board, front door entry door casings were gonna be flipped but again [redacted] couldn't get them and off so I stained them as the bid specified, baseboards had dog nail scratches throughout the home mainly at door entry and exits I applied filler to the areas that were bad but the wood was not real wood so it was not gonna blend like real wood and I explained that to [redacted] and ***The bid was excepted and we started the job on Labor Day per customer request because they were putting the home on the market as soon as that same week and open house was set for the Saturday Sept 12th I did all the running around trying to match the paint/stain color and when it became a canstant confusion [redacted] said "just use a paint and match with a peeled paint chip" I took that chip to [redacted] and also in hand I have different color charts for the homes that are in the housing development to follow well the price for materials were almost $so I explained to [redacted] that [redacted] will be better priced so we went there, I got the chip matched with paint color and a paint solid color stain and took both small samples to the house as I was showing [redacted] the applied materials she agreed with a color and so I moved forward back to home depot to purchase the paint the total came to $or close to that and the credit card payment came from [redacted] well I was not impressed at all that the materials matched and after over and over reviewing these crazy color charts that [redacted] gave me I then realized that this in fact was a stain solid color and the maker was Pittsburgh something and this has to be the correct materials or home owners assoc would be unsatisfied so the next early AM hour I called around and found the company that has that brand and I went ahead and purchased the correct stuff and brought it to the home of [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted] 100% was grateful that I made the correct call on changing the materials, [redacted] saw the sample applied to the trim and he was very pleased those materials were again $for one five gallon bucket I got it on a loan because the funds from [redacted] check could not be available til 9am that same day everything was fine until [redacted] was unable to fulfill his obligations for myself to complete to specified areas on the bid,I took $off the balance from original agreement and I also got stuck with paint materials that [redacted] said to buy that were wrong yet I ate that profit, I was never fired by [redacted] and when we finally came to an agreement of final payment then [redacted] had his step son get a cashiers check of $I did over and above what I was agreement of but I wanted [redacted] and [redacted] to not have the assoc on them yes I did over and aboveI offered to return that following Monday the 14th to sand the white baseboard that I patched and repaint that area but [redacted] said [redacted] had it covered that she was gonna take care of it so that was thatI feel I do not owe them nothing as far as money being returned because I did my job its [redacted] who did not fulfill his obligation to make the repairs, purchase of new door and flipping of boards so that's not my fault but yes again I took $off the bill so he would be feeling of fairness but now they want cash returned? That's it at all fair or agreed uponThanks for reading my answer to the complaint [redacted] Sept 29th at 4:35pm

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/09/30) */
I had responded to a bid request sent to me from thumbtack as I put my info for a customer response I got connected by text to [redacted] and an appointment was set up for Friday the 4th of Sept 2015 for 1:00pm I arrived to be greeted by...

[redacted] as he was [redacted] husband and he showed me all the areas he was requesting to be painted, stained and potential other misc repairs. The areas include as follows: Exterior of home trim to be restrained, surface s in front of home to be lightly sanded then stained this was all trim only, shutters in front of home, pilers and back of home balconies the home we also wanted to spray down to remove dirt etc now at the time this agreement took place neither [redacted] or [redacted] had a clue of the actual color that was already on the home and they thought it was a paint not stain they stressed to me that the homeowners association will be unsatisfied of the painting if the correct materials were not used well long story short our first agreement for areas was $2300.00 then I leave to only have [redacted] call me once more because he forgot to mention other areas and asked if I could return and get the correct amount added up so that they can then decide to take the bid or not after the items extra was added then the job bid was now $3500.00 including all materials paint, stain, patch materials etc also the agreement was that [redacted] was going to replace one door so we could paint that white, a basebo ard that [redacted] was not able to remove so I patched the board, front door entry door casings were gonna be flipped but again [redacted] couldn't get them and off so I stained them as the bid specified, baseboards had dog nail scratches throughout the home mainly at door entry and exits I applied filler to the areas that were bad but the wood was not real wood so it was not gonna blend like real wood and I explained that to [redacted] and [redacted]. The bid was excepted and we started the job on Labor Day per customer request because they were putting the home on the market as soon as that same week and open house was set for the Saturday Sept 12th 2015 I did all the running around trying to match the paint/stain color and when it became a canstant confusion [redacted] said "just use a paint and match with a peeled paint chip" I took that chip to [redacted] and also in hand I have 3 different color charts for the homes that are in the housing development to follow well the price for materials were almost $400.00 so I explained to [redacted] that [redacted] will be better priced so we went there, I got the chip matched with paint color and a paint solid color stain and took both small samples to the house as I was showing [redacted] the applied materials she agreed with a color and so I moved forward back to home depot to purchase the paint the total came to $200.00 or close to that and the credit card payment came from [redacted] well I was not impressed at all that the materials matched and after over and over reviewing these crazy color charts that [redacted] gave me I then realized that this in fact was a stain solid color and the maker was Pittsburgh something and this has to be the correct materials or home owners assoc would be unsatisfied so the next early AM hour I called around and found the company that has that brand and I went ahead and purchased the correct stuff and brought it to the home of [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted] 100% was grateful that I made the correct call on changing the materials, [redacted] saw the sample applied to the trim and he was very pleased those materials were again $200.00 for one five gallon bucket I got it on a loan because the funds from [redacted] check could not be available til 9am that same day everything was fine until [redacted] was unable to fulfill his obligations for myself to complete to specified areas on the bid,I took $500.00 off the balance from original agreement and I also got stuck with paint materials that [redacted] said to buy that were wrong yet I ate that profit, I was never fired by [redacted] and when we finally came to an agreement of final payment then [redacted] had his step son get a cashiers check of $1300.00 I did over and above what I was agreement of but I wanted [redacted] and [redacted] to not have the assoc on them yes I did over and above. I offered to return that following Monday the 14th to sand the white baseboard that I patched and repaint that area but [redacted] said [redacted] had it covered that she was gonna take care of it so that was that. I feel I do not owe them nothing as far as money being returned because I did my job its [redacted] who did not fulfill his obligation to make the repairs, purchase of new door and flipping of boards so that's not my fault but yes again I took $500.00 off the bill so he would be feeling of fairness but now they want cash returned? That's it at all fair or agreed upon. Thanks for reading my answer to the complaint.
