dropping at shop, I generally take photos of unrelated prior damage to vehicles when dropped at shop in case something like this arises I will have evidence to bacck up if damage was there or not. I did not get unrelated prior damage photos of customer vehicle so I could not say we did not dent car so I repaired the dent for customer at no charge. We also fixed the crack in front bumper cover paint that customer pointed out at time of pick up. Customer left vehicle with me for repairs when he originally came to pick up and I had those problems resolved before he took car off of our lot. regarding customer complaint about breaking left front inner door handle, when vehicle was pulled into shop for the first time after vehicle drop off tech came and got me personally to show that left inner door handle was not working. Vehicle was hit in right front so we would have to contact [redacted] insurance to authorize if to repair. regarding complaint about gear selector not working properly, when vehicle pulled in to shop for first time after teardown tech came and got me and showed me that sometimes you would have to press manual release button to get selector to move out of park. once again this is something we would have to get [redacted] involved in to approve. I let customer know that I had sent all of his info and complaints to [redacted] and was waiting on reply. we had reply email from bucky s[redacted] from [redacted] saying he was trying to access file to look at notes and make a decision but that file was a private claim had he had to request access to get into file. this was on august 30 and we have not received any more info back from [redacted] on his complaints.
