Complaint:I have additional information which could settle this caseI spoke to a person from the carrier at [redacted] after finally receiving a tracking number [redacted] yesterday (7/26/17) from Specialized German RecyclingThe [redacted] person [redacted] said they were scheduled to ship something from S.G.Rthat weighed lbsAccording to the forklift scale it weighed 140lbsHe said they normally don't charge if it is only a few lbs over, but in this case they charged S.G.Ran additional $because it of the excessive over weight Answer: We shipped a box weighing lbs, the shipping company has still not explained why or where the item was mislabeledAt some time in their possession the item was exchanged for the transmissionComplaint:S.G.Ralso stated they never sent a transmissionHowever, the weight of a transmission for my model car is between and poundsThis would explain why the shipment weighed so much and why I received a transmission instead of a fuel tankWhat kind of business gets charged an extra $for shipment and doesn't ask the carrier why? If I could find this information, they could have done the same with a few calls weeks ago when I told them they sent the wrong item.Answer:The transmission in the picture is not a Bmw transmission which is why I stated its not from a make or model that we carryIt looks to be a Mercedes transmissionWe don't and never had black plastic bags or black covering for our shipmentsWe don't scrutinize overcharges on our freight bills because we dont make income on shipping chargesIn California if a business shows profit on freight, tax would be dueWe also ship over items a month through various shipping companiesConclusion:Because of lack of communication from the shipping company regarding the time and whereabouts of the shipment mislabeling, We have refunded the customer his original purchase price on his credit card

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

We sent a fuel tank to the customer in April and have a bill of lading showing it had been delivered. The customer states that we sent a transmission which he sent us pictures today (7/25/2017) showing a transmission from a make and model vehicle that we don't and have never carried. We have a bill...

of lading showing the customer received the fuel tank and our issue is that if at that time he had noticed an incorrect item why he would accept delivery.

Complaint:I have additional information which could settle this case. I spoke to a person from the carrier at [redacted] after finally receiving a tracking number [redacted] yesterday (7/26/17) from Specialized German Recycling. The [redacted] person [redacted] said they were scheduled to ship something from S.G.R. that weighed 54 lbs. According to the forklift scale it weighed 140lbs. He said they normally don't charge if it is only a few lbs over, but in this case they charged S.G.R. an additional $20.00 because it of the excessive over weight.  Answer: We shipped a box weighing 54 lbs, the shipping company has still not explained why or where the item was mislabeled. At some time in their possession the item was exchanged for the transmission. Complaint:S.G.R. also stated they never sent a transmission. However, the weight of a transmission for my model car is between 80 and 100 pounds. This would explain why the shipment weighed so much and why I received a transmission instead of a fuel tank. What kind of business gets charged an extra $20.00 for shipment and doesn't ask the carrier why?  If I could find this information, they could have done the same with a few calls weeks ago when I told them they sent the wrong item.Answer:The transmission in the picture is not a Bmw transmission which is why I stated its not from a make or model that we carry. It looks to be a Mercedes transmission. We don't and never had black plastic bags or black covering for our shipments. We don't scrutinize overcharges on our freight bills because we dont make income on shipping charges. In California if a business shows profit on freight, tax would be due. We also ship over 1200 items a month through various shipping companies. Conclusion:Because of lack of communication from the shipping company regarding the time and whereabouts of the shipment mislabeling, We have refunded the customer his original purchase price on his credit card.
