CRST Specialized Transportation attempted to deliver a replacement part for my bed timesFirst time they sent the item to my billing address (wrong one: after they have confirmed with me the right one) Second time they schedule delivery with me, made me miss work and they never showed upThe third time came around the driver knock on my door like he has never being educated in his life (very bad)I took him to my room anyways, and explain him what he was supposed to doFrom the moment he saw the job he said he would not touch anything for liability issues (This did not make sense)So, I asked him to give me his manager number, so I could explain what needed to be doneHe said his company would not talk to meTo make the story short the guy DID NOT DELIVER THE ITEM I'VE BEING WAITING FOR, NEITHER ASSEMBLED ITHe started screaming at me in MY OWN HOUSE for trying to avoid a job he came to do, and had the worst attitude aroundI was about to call the police by the way he was treating meI believe in mutual respect and this is simply unacceptable!!! After I was able to contact the office they responded saying they will send someone else for a work they got paid already in daysPLEASE!! Please if you dare to work with them you should specifically ask the company not to send a driver by the name of Mohammed (Didn't get his last name) unless you want to be mistreated in your own house

In March my wife and I purchased two chairs from our favorite store in Colorado. The chairs were quite expensive and since we live in Illinois we were concerned about damage during shipping. We spoke with the store management who we know very well as we have purchased many many items from them over the last 8 years furnishing a condo. They strongly recommended "white glove" shipping and assured us we would have no issues whatsoever. The "white glove shipper" we contracted with was Specialized Transportation Inc. or STI, out of Fort Wayne, IN. They are also known as CRST Specialized Transportation.
About a month later our chairs arrived. My wife was home alone and we were quite anxious to get the chairs in our upstairs bedroom. For comparison, just the day before we had a bed and chest of drawers delivered that were purchased from a different store and were not shipped via "white glove" These items were quite heavy, very bulky, and the delivery concerned us but we were assured there would be no problem. They were delivered and installed professionally. No issues whatsoever. My wife noticed a small flaw in one of the drawers. The shippers agreed and within a week we had a perfect replacement. Outstanding service. Very happy. Back to the socalled "white glove" delivery.
The minute the "white glove delivery" men showed up my wife was concerned. She said she was uneasy with them as they did not appear to have much of a clue how to get the chairs upstairs. She heard them bang the chairs against the door and the second time it happened she went up to see what was wrong. The chairs were in fact large and the door needed to be removed before the chairs would fit through the door. They were trying to force them through the door. Every angle possible. Again, trusting her initial reaction, comparing to the previous day's delivery, and hearing them having problems, she said to leave them where they were and her husband would take care of it later. She signed a receipt saying the chairs had been delivered and the men left.
When I got home, with the help of my son, we removed the door, moved both chairs in, replaced the door and were done. It took "FIVE" minutes. But then I looked at the chairs. There were at least 5 nicks in the chairs (picture attached) and two cracks. I called the store in Colorado and they were appalled, embarrassed and disappointed in the awful delivery. They promised they were in perfect condition when they left and I completely trust them based on years of being a customer. They said they would begin an insurance claim for "white glove service".
We paid $ 50 for a restoration business to come out and look at the chairs. $ 1200 to repair both. The moving company declined the claim because my wife had signed a release saying the chairs had been delivered. Took them 30 days to make that decision.
We have had dozens of deliveries in the process of finishing out a condo in Colorado. We have never had one problem with delivery. The deliver company that delivered these chairs to our home in Illinois is without question the worst we have ever dealt with. Don't use STI or CRST. Their service was atrocious. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

For background my wife and I are in our 60's. I am President of a bank. If you asked anyone in our community, they would assure you we are honest people who don't make waives unless something is really wrong. In this case we were wronged. What every you do don't use STI for shipping anything that has any value.
