Specialty Sewing is correct regarding their offer, but discussions fully indicated that this would likely not work. Firstly they could not cut it down the middle. The expression that it was too short was not an exact measurement and it was required to add material competent around the entire top. This placed a the snaps in the wring place necessitating measurements directly from the boat to install all the snaps. This would have been impossible to do if it was sent back to Yuma. In addition the front boat top had to be completely redone as it did not resemble at all the original, and how would the correct size be determined without a template now.  Obviously what happened was the tracing of the original cover was exact and there was no allowance to permit the edge material to be folded back to provide a hem and snaps. When this was made I was assured the top and fit exactly with only concern of a few snapocations which I was prepared to accept. To be clear, I did not request Specialty to pay have, but to contribute $600 to the overall cost of $1575 (they were forwarded a copy of the invoice). The likely hood of shipping this back a d forth, Specialty's labour would have likely exceeded the $600 but logic did not enter the picture on this issue. All this would have been difficult to do during the time the top was needed to be used. Specialty did not fulfill their commitment to make it exactly the same as promised.
