I have been refraining from writing a review about this place but enough is enough! I brought my Mini Cooper Countryman here when it sustained body damage on right back panel from an accident back in November. The car is drivable and was dropped off to Spectrum Collision on November 23, 2015. Big mistake on my part and Mercury Insurance for trusting my 6month old vehicle to this sham of a shop. I have yet to get my car back and in two weeks would have been in there shop for 3 months!!! From the initial estimate to the lies given by them of updates that they keep feeding me and my husband when the bottom line was that they were not working on my car at all. Forget about dealing with anyone including the GM Luis who have no clue or handle of the state of my vehicle on any given time. They keep dropping the ball and don't care about making it right with the customer! I have several email correspondence from them on supposed stages of work being done on my car which if I were to believed, my car would have been ready weeks ago! I consulted several reputable body shops recommended by other Mini dealership and I was told repeatedly that it should not have taken this long considering the damages on my vehicle. They did offer a loaner vehicle after my car has been in there shop for almost 2 mos. Afterwards, forget about receiving courtesy from them knowing that I am still waiting for my car. Their current attitude seems to be that I should be grateful they gave me a loaner. There were several negative reviews about this shop back in December with similar issues as mine but suspiciously disappeared from the Yelp site. I may be taking a chance that this review will slow my chances of getting my car back soon but I am super fed up!! I definitely would not wish this on anyone so BEWARE and don't take your car here! Shame on Mini Cooper Irvine for recommending this place! Next stop is the Revdex.com and as many internet sites I can review this shop on. No one should be this frustrated after already dealing with an unfortunate incident such as an accident.

Review: I had an Accident and sent my BMW 535i to Sectrum Collision on 11/1/2013. I was told it will take a week to 10 days. As of today, I spoke to 4 people among which is the general manager and assistant general manager and they have given me the run around. I don't know whether I'm going to have my car back before Thanksgiving or not. I want everyone to know that they have the wrost customer service and they Lie to customers.Desired Settlement: I don't beleive they deserve what they have charged the insurance for. I want a refund of the service.

I have contacted Mr. [redacted] and offering a to take care of a scratch on his vehicle that was not part of the original loss. Spectrum Collision is doing this as a good will guesture. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I received a call from the General Manager on Thursday December 19 at 6:30 pm, he informed me that he will take care of the scratch in my car and will arrange with his floor manager to contact me Friday 12/20/13 or maximum by Monday 12/23/13 to pick up the car and fix it. As of today 1/3/14 I have not heard from anyone. Typical to the experience I had with them, they make promises and fail to deliver. In addition, they changed the cost of the original repairs and communicated directly with the insurance without my knowledge. The original estimate was $4k and the total paid at the time of deliver was $11K (including my deductible)!!!! They over charged the repairs made by $7,000 and refused to even fix the scratch in the car as they promised!

I spoke to Mr. [redacted] yesterday. He agreed to come in next week to have the scratch repaired as a good will gesture by Spectrum Collision. I will also provide him a rental vehicle. He seemed please with this. As far as the statement about the amount of repairs, once the vehicle was disassembled it was discovered that there was hidden damage due to this loss. The vehicle was reinspected by the insurance company to verify additional work and "indemnify" the client and make him whole. The scratch we are taking care of as a courtesy was not part of the insurance claim.
