Case #- [redacted] Customer Name: [redacted] To Whom it may concern. In response to the client's objections on previous statements regarding the box on the health sheet not being checked at the initial visitThe veterinarian would have not allowed the puppy to be for sale had it not been fit for sale at the time of examinationPer the customer's warranty, and state law, the customer would have days from the time of purchase to get in writing, from a licensed veterinarian that the puppy was unfit for sale. This was not done and no documentation nor paperwork was provided to the Petland Monroeville stating the puppy was unfit for salePetland Monroeville has all puppies examined when they arrive at the store, and then checked weekly by their veterinarianIn addition to these examinations, Petland Monroeville advises customers to go in for another examination within days from purchase.Petland Monroeville has followed every aspect of their store warranty, as well as all state laws set forth for the retail sale of petsPetland Monroeville strives to provide quality pets to all customers, and will stand behind our puppies 100% which is why the health warranty is offered to every customerUnfortunately the customer did not follow the warranty that she had signed, read, and agreed to on the date of purchase.Sincerely,Petland Monroeville

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Thank you for your promt response, but if the constant reassurance that the animal I adopted was healthy, evaluated and deemed healthy even though very clearly there was obvious physical evidence that he was not upon simply looking at his eyes, it is unacceptable that can be considered a passing degree of healthI will be pressing the matter through a legal channel to see this is fairly and thoroughly looked over Regards, [redacted] ***

Case #- [redacted] Customer Name: [redacted] To Whom it may concern. This response is in regards to a recently filed complaint by a [redacted] Mrs [redacted] states in her response that she did not feel comfortable taking the puppy to the store's contracted veterinarian -The [redacted] Animal ClinicThe veterinarian at this facility (as well as the other consulting veterinarians) all have they licenses to practice veterinary medicine, and are fully qualified to handle the care needed for her puppyMrs [redacted] would have also signed off on multiple pieces of documentation in which she agreed and understood where to take her puppy should a health concern arise.Mrs [redacted] also mentions that she sent the invoices and paperwork to an email such as [redacted] however the customer spelled the email incorrectly which would explain the receipt of these documents being unconfirmedThe customer initially called in stating the puppy was ingesting feces so it was recommended she follow up with [redacted] Animal ClinicMessages were left on the customer's answering machine on 11/8/16,11/12/16,11/16/16, and again on 11/19/16.Two months after the last attempt at contact the customer sends in an online claim form on 1/26/In the complaint she references eye infections and soft stoolThe customer had gone into Petland Monroeville and Petland Monroeville offered to assist the customer, and offered to allow the pet to be boarded until the issue was cleared up- the customer declined this offerA message was left on 2/11/denying the customer's request for a partial refund.Over one month later on 3/17/Mrs [redacted] called back into the customer service department and stated the puppy had a rash and she did not want reimbursement of vet bills, but rather a partial refund of the purchase priceThe paperwork was requested again regarding the diagnosis paperwork from the customerThe customer sent in the paperwork where the skin condition was not diagnosed so they were on antibiotics and doing a food trial to rule out allergies. All copies of the customer's signed warranty paperwork has been previously submitted to confirm the above statements are correctPetland Monroeville stands behind their puppies 100% which is why we offer the store warranty for medical coverageUnfortunately the customer did not follow the guidelines of the store warranty she previously signed, read, and agreed too, and has not provided a confirmed diagnosis pertaining to her puppy.Sincerely,Petland Monroeville

To Whom it May Concern,This letter is in response to the Complaint submitted by [redacted] Petland Monroeville works closely with several animal shelters to place homeless pets into loving homesPrior to sending a kitten into a home, Petland has the kitten evaluated by a licensed veterinarian, and makes the kitten current on vaccinationsUpon receiving a clean bill of health via a licensed veterinarian, Petland puts effort forth to adopt the kitten into a loving homeFor all Kitten adoptions, the fee is $This adoption fee is used to cover the cost of the vaccinations, Spay/neuter, and the remainder is donated to the animal shelter in which the kitten was “pulled”Unfortunately not all vaccinations can be given to a kitten prior to adoption, and any subsequent vaccinations are to be provided at adopters' own expensePetland was first notified of an issue with Ms [redacted] kitten over month after adoptionUnfortunatelty since our adoption program is a “non-profit” community service in our store, we do not offer any health guarantee after the kitten leaves the storeRegardless of the health guarantee, we offered Ms [redacted] two options; return the kitten for full reimbursement, and Petland would seek medical attention at our expense, or receive a full reimbursement for the adoption, fee of S and continue to seek medical attention at her own expenseMs [redacted] was disattisfied with either offered solution, and declined any financial reimbursement.Attached find the signed Adopt-A-Pet Agreement that Ms [redacted] entered into on 07/03/This is the standard Agreement offered with all kittens which are obtained through animal sheltersPlease let us know if we can be of any further assitance. With Regards,Petland Monroeville Management
