buy the car anyways. We even included 3 months power train warranty with the deal through [redacted] which is a company that we have been dealing with for many years that provides warranty to our customers at extra cost (this was included with no charge). [redacted] called us two days after purchasing the car yelling and screaming saying that the car has engine and transmission problems. We simply told him to bring the car back with a copy of the mechanic's report. We looked at the report and was just trying to explain to him that the report stated that the car needs rotors/brakes, transmission flush which are not engine/transmission related defects. We offered to repair the oil leak and contact [redacted] since we gave him warranty on the car but his attitude coming in was very aggressive and threatening. We simply wanted to resolve this matter without it going to Revdex.com or anyone else. He started to threaten us by demanding punitive damages and refund for his mechanic's estimate. After realizing that no matter what we do he wasn’t going to be satisfied, we asked him to leave our premises. We have been doing business in the [redacted] area since 1999 and never had a complaint. COMPLAINT PROBLEM:
I purchased a used 2000 [redacted] from this dealership. As soon as I picked it up, I took it to a mechanic down the street. (I asked the salesman if I could have my mechanic look at it first, but he offered a warranty instead.) I learned from my mechanic that the engine has oil leaks ( he said there was almost no oil in the engine), the rear brakes needed to be replaced, and that the transmission fluid was very bad. He would have to clean the engine to determine where the leaks were. The salesman told me there were no problems with the car. After I discovered all of the problems, I asked to return the car and have my trade-in returned to me. Initially, he said, "that's fine." However, when I brought the mechanic's report to him, he claimed it was all regular maintenance and that he wasn't responsible. He refused to accept the car. This occurred within 48 hours of my purchase. He also became verbally abusive and combative, as he sought to blame me for the problems with the car! Apparently, I should have known that because the car was cheap, it had problems.
 
 
 
 
CONSUMER REBUTTAL:
Date Sent: 7/5/2014 12:00:00 AM**. [redacted] and Speed Auto Sales acted fraudulently in misrepresenting the condition and value of the 2000 [redacted] they sold me, and provided zero warning of the serious and unsafe mechanical problems it had. A [redacted]-certified repair shop advised that the car needed new brakes on all four wheels, a new transmission, and expensive repairs to stop severe oil leakage from the engine. The car is unsafe to drive, and **. [redacted] sold me it without any regard for my or my family's safety. In short, he acted with callous indifference to our lives.Full refund of sales price. Car is worthless.
