Review: They took bolts off the bottom of the car when battery was replaced. Bolts lost so they used cable ties when car brought back. Cable ties now breaking after 2 mos and rather than replace part that was busted when cable tie broke they took part off and three it away and never offered to replace. We still have several cable ties. Going back again. Repair prior to this they left oil cap off wedged under good latch. Had to be towed in since we couldn't get hood open and black smoke was pouring out from under good.Desired Settlement: Want bolts replaced where they put cable ties. Want part they threw away replaced with new plastic cover with dealer new part. Want reimbursement for tow.

We did not remove any bolts from the bottom of Ms. [redacted]’s car. The battery is replaced from under the hood. Ms. [redacted] is referring to a rock guard that is under the front bumper and a short ways down the outside frame. We have no reason to remove the rock guards from the car. We did however use the twist ties to hold the passenger side rock guard from hanging down. We did not remove them so I do not see any reason for me to replace it. We also have the part in question, and offered it to Ms. [redacted]. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: They never offered to replace the pins/bolts that were removed or fell out. The pins were not noted as missing when we checked the car in for work. There was no note on the work order indicating these pins were missing when the car was taken in for service. When we picked the car up the pins were missing. There was no offer to replace these pins. There was no offer to order the pins and have them replaced. rather than offer a fix the owner responded with a nasty note on [redacted].Seeing how these pins were not noted as missing when the car was checked in they had to have been removed or fell out during service. At a later meeting with the owner he even demonstrated how easy it was for the pins to fall out then there was a slight tug on the trim. Damage not noted when a car is checked in should be made good when there is damage noted after repair.
