Speedway Auto Center Reviews (1)

Review: On September [redacted] I was in a car accident where a tractor trailer hit my passenger side. The hood of my vehicle was severely damaged along with the passenger door and tire. Speedway Auto Center towed my vehicle to their location. The same day I went to speedway to check on my vehicle. I then agreed and signed to have speedway to dismantle, tow, be a designated representative and to repair my vehicle. After a month (Oct. [redacted]) I arrived at Speedway Auto Center hoping to pick up my vehicle. The [redacted] told me it will be another day because the air bag light is not functioning. I waited another day. On Oct. [redacted] the [redacted] told me he could not fix the problem because their systems where not up to date and the problem had to be fixed at a Nissan location and that I would have to wait for an appointment. I agreed to wait for an appointment and I drove the car off the lot without a working horn. As I drove my car off the lot and down the road I notice there was an unpleasant sound as I placed my foot on the break, as I put the car in reverse and made any turn possible with the car. I figured maybe the car needed to be warmed up or needed to be driven for a while. A week later the sound still did not dismiss. The sound it made was of a rusty sound. I took the vehicle back to Speedway, told the [redacted] the problem and he had a mechanic drive with me to hear the sound and to look at the vehicle underneath where it was hit. According to the mechanic the rotor was bad and it needed to be replaced. I left the car at the shop the next day because the [redacted] told me the shop was being repainted and I couldn't leave it there. The next day I took the car to the shop. A week later I went to Speedway picked up my car. As I drove off the lot and down the road the sound was still there. I turned around and went back to Speedway told the female at the front desk the problem. She had a mechanic drive in the car with me. He heard the sound, wasn't sure what the issue was but he said he will talk to his [redacted] to see if there is anything they can do about it. I went into the office with the mechanic and the [redacted] told me, the car is drivable maybe it is the break pads and there is nothing further they can do about it. Frustrated, I then called my insurance company and explained to them the what is going on. The [redacted] told me if it is not injury related there is nothing the insurance company can do about it. Frustrated, I took my car to [redacted] the same day. According to [redacted] the rotor and the break pad were old had to be replaced on the passenger side. The next day (Oct [redacted]), furiously and anxious I took the vehicle to [redacted]'s Auto Towing in [redacted] Heights because I refused to take the car back to Speedway because I knew in the back of my mind that they were doing something wrong. [redacted]'s Auto Towing replaced the rotors and Pads on both sides in front of the vehicle (I wanted them to be equal) and gave me a wheel alignment because the wheel alignment was off. I was charged $573.49. As I drove off the lot of [redacted]'s Auto Towing the sound was no longer there. Pleased with the outcome, I did not bother to call Speedway nor my Insurance company. Unfortunately a week later the car began to make a thumbing noise and a noise that sound like the body parts were going to spill out. Whenever I drove over a pot hole, or a sewer hole or a drainage the car sound as if the body parts were going to spill out onto the road. On Nov. [redacted] I took the car to the dealership that I purchased the vehicle from (Five Towns Nissan) According to Nissan, on the driver side two bolts were loose, there was something else that was lose but I cannot remember what it was, that is why I was getting the thumbing sound. (Note: the mechanic at Nissan took me into the shop and had me look underneath my vehicle with him and he pointed out to me what was causing the noise) I was charged $130.35 to fix the problem. The next day (Nov. [redacted]) I took the vehicle back to Nissan because the car was now making a popping noise when I went over a pot hole, a sewer hole, a sewer drainage or a lump or bump on/in the road and when I made any turn with the car. Upon hrs of waiting and hrs of waiting, the mechanic took me into the shop and pointed out to me what the problem is. According to the mechanic at Nissan, the passenger side have used parts! Parts that can be found from a junk yard. The axel was bent and the mechanic from Nissan had to unbend it. There is a bolt that will not screw properly that holds the car together. He said I will have to take it back to the auto body center to have this issue fixed and the parts have to be 2013 or better, not junk yard parts. If this issue is not fix the bolt can come lose and the part that is holding the car up will disperse. Frustrated and upset, I called my insurance company. I spoke to an [redacted] named [redacted] I explained to her everything from what happened September [redacted] to November [redacted] and explained to her what the mechanic at Nissan told me. Ashley then asked me if I signed the Direction to Pay meaning if I will have them forge my name on the checks the day I went to Speedway and agreed that they will be the one to fix my vehicle. I wasn't 90% certain but I did tell her no. I say 90% because I did get some form of agreement from speedway but wasn't certain if I signed the Direction to Pay. When I got home that evening, I furiously looked through all of my papers and then it clicked to me that I left the paper in my wallet. I read the paper three times and low and behold I DID NOT SIGN THE DIRECTION TO PAY! I then called USAA (my insurance company) spoke to the [redacted] in the claims department she told me there is nothing USAA can do about Speedway forging your signature without you authorizing it, that I will have to make a complaint at the Revdex.com. She also told me Ashley will call me back on Monday to see what the [redacted] can do for me. (Note: I DID NOT RECEIVE A CHECK FROM USAA NOR WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR OCT.[redacted], I DID NOT GET A CHECK TO SIGN. According to my insurance company, USAA made two checks out, one for $2,169.33 and another for $5,269.22. I DID NOT SEE NEITHER ONE CHECK) (Another note: Speedway did not give me a print out of what was done on the vehicle)Desired Settlement: My desire outcome is to be refunded the checks my insurance company sent to Speedway Auto Center because they did not properly fix my vehicle. The vehicle have old parts on the passenger side of the car from a junk yard when the car is a 2013 vehicle. I would also like to be refunded the money I spent at [redacted]'s Auto Towing and Nissan dealership. My desire settlement: $8,142.39

My desire outcome is to take the settlement money and have my car properly repaired with either 2013 or better parts so I can go on with my life and my car.
