Speedway Express

I arrived at the gas station at about 1715 on 2/3/2020 in my SUV with 1/8 of a tank left. My SUV has a 20 gallon tank. I filled my SUV at pump #3 and after a while noticed that it was taking a long time to fill. I watched the counter pass 18 gallons, 19 gallons, and finally manually stopped it when the counter exceeded 20 gallons. I have owned this car for more than 9 years and have never put in that much gas even when it was running on fumes. I spoke with the attendant and expressed my concern that there was something wrong with the pump. He said he was going to turn off the pump, though he never did, at least not before I left about 10 minutes later. He said he was going to call his boss and see what he could do about the charge, since there was no way I received more than 20 gallons of gas. I do not know whether he called or not, but when I spoke with him several minutes later, he just said that there was nothing he could do. I am concerned that there is fraud taking place and this business needs to be investigated.
