Speedy Car Rental

Review: I rented a car from Speedy Car Rental in 2008. During the rental period I had an accident in the car hitting another car. There was no injury to either party, only minor damage to both cars. I had taken insurance out on the car during the rental period - so I knew I would be covered for any damage to the car. I was assured by the rental company that the matter would be taken care of and I never heard anything else about this until August of 2014. I recieved a letter in the mail from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles say that that there was an unsatisfied judgement in favour of [redacted] and that my licence was suspended until this judgement was satisfied. Immediately upon recieving this letter I contacted Speedy Rent-a-car to find out why this was never settled and they said that this was no longer their problem as the company had been taken over since 2008 and it was no longer their responsibility as they do no assume the debts of the previous owners. I then contacted their head office in [redacted] and they gave me the number of their claims department in New Jersey. The company that takes care of their claims is called [redacted] (###-###-####) I have called them hundreds of times and left them countless messages but they have not returned any calls. I then called the New York State department of financial services to see if they could get in touch with speedy rent-a-car, but they sent a letter to me today saying they have also made several unsuccessful attempts to contact them, and that the Revdex.com would be able to help me with this matter as they you have juristiction over this matter. The judgement amount on the claim is $6,015.29 which I definiitely will not be paying as I had insurance coverage at the time of the accident. I really do not know what else to do so I really hope you will be able to help me with this serious matter.Desired Settlement: I would like for the suspension on my licence to be lifted and for Speedy-Rent-a-car to settle the amount they owe and have this judgement against me lifted.
