Review: Review: Called them on 5/8/2013 and explained that I had water backing into my Dishwasher - nothing more, not my kitchen sink backing up or my kitchen sink draining slowly. Just that on occasion water would drain into my dishwasher and it was dirty smelly water like it was coming from the garbage disposal area. They said someone was in the area and would call me in about 1-2 hours. I was expecting a call from a plumber but they showed up. He came in and I again explain the issue at my doorway, right away he said that I needed to call an appliance repairman that he could not help me - then he went into my kitchen and looked at my sink which was not clogged with water or backing up in any fashion and just re-iterated what he said at my doorway and said to call an appliance repairmen - that he couldn't fix that - that it was probably the control valve on the dishwasher. Then he proceeded to charge me $75.00. I have a hard time that he could walk in my door and tell me who to call but the front person who I first spoke to could not tell me that or ask if that was something they could fix. I made the mistake of telling them I am disabled and you can tell that I am a women on the phone - two things I think a lot of people and business try to cash in on. I live 135% below poverty and it seems like they just heard sucker as soon as I called and ran with it so they could collect a service fee. On 5/13 I called several other plumbers and told them the SAME scenario and all of them told me that they could not service me that I needed to call an appliance repair service and some gave me recommendations. If they knew over the phone they could not help me why not Speedy Rooter, Inc.Desired Settlement: I would like to be re-embursed for the service call - if not the whole $75.00 then I will settle for half of that back. They have my credit card information on file!!!

I am rejecting this response because: I am curious as to why something wasn't done in the first place when they came out on the service call??? Why did I have to call and complain about that issue and be treated nastily on the phone even after I said I was going to file a complaint with The Revdex.com. Instead of admitting a mistake was made or they were in the wrong now that they were caught in an questionable act, they want to come back out at no service fee to snake my drain. As I stated on the phone to them I have health issues being Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, coming out the first time was hard enough for me to plan and handle let alone go through the process again.

And then there was the conversations I had on the phone with appliance companies when calling as per this companies response to me - and when I told them I had initially called a plumber who came out and did not one blessed thing but told me to call an applaince repair company, when asked what company I called and telling them they ALL groaned and said I had picked the worst plumber to call - that they are nothing but a two bit company.

Then when looking on the Revdex.com and seeing the number of complaints filed - and that's the number filed it got me thinking about the need for something to be done to a company who treats clients poorly in person and over the phone. Haste makes waste but then you treated me badly when I called to discuss why things were done they way they were and then when I called you back again and left a message stating that I called an appliance repair company and said that they could not help me because it was a plumbing drain issue you didn't even have the decency to call me back because you know you are in the WRONG!!!

I am rejecting this response because: you should have done your JOB when I called you out the first time or told me that you could not do the job over the phone. You don't come out on a service call and charge someone and say that you need to call an appliance repair company which when I called them all they ALL told me its a job for a plumber. I was willing to settle this dispute by paying half of the service fee but now I want my FULL money back or I will also report you to the Attorney General's Office!!!!

Review: CALLED SPEEDY ROOTER TO CHECK OUT WELL PUMP. SENT OUT SOMEONE TO CHECK OUT. ASKED THAT GENTLEMAN THE COST TO REPAIR HE WAS UNSURE. HE THEN SENT OUT ANOTHER CREW THAT WAS CAPABLE OF THE REPAIRS. NEVER GOT A PHONE CALL WITH AN ESTIMATE ON REPAIRS. GOT HOME THAT EVENING AND WELL PUMP WAS BEING REPAIRED WITHOUT A COST AND MY AUTHORIZATION. THEN GOT A BILL FOR $1825.00. THEY ARE ASKING ME TO PAY FOR SEVERAL HOURS IT TOOK THE SERVICE TECH TO DRIVE AROUND AND FIND SUPPLIES IN 5 OCLOCK TRAFFIC.Desired Settlement: WOULD LIKE BILL ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY. DONT FEEL I SHOULD PAY FOR TIME THEY SPENT WASTING. AND REPAIRING SOMETHING ONE OF THEIR TECHS BROKE.

The plumber bill was out to the property and checked things out. The homeowner was given a ball park for the repairs since the well needed pulled. The homeowner was told that the well needed to be pulled. The next day shawn plumber and his helper came out to pull the well. The homeowner was aware of the situation of what was being done and approved the work. The homeowner complained after the work was done about the time it took to go for parts. Due to rush hour traffic it took awhile to get what we needed and get back to his home. I tried to resolve this with him on the phone before he filled this complaint and expressed that I could give him a 100.00 credit for one hour of that time. We cant run around for parts and material for peoples jobs for free and we cant control the traffic. I think this is an only fair and final offer and the bill is due he authorized the work and agreed to pay over thephone with a credit card when the job was complete since he didnt want to miss work. This is final and is bill is due. Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: most of the written letter from the business is a lie. I was never given a written or verbal estimate. and the well was pulled the same day they checked it out not the next day. the only reason the plumber came back the next day was because he messed up a piece to my well pump. I was never informed of what was being done, just told well needed pulled. not that it needed $1700 of repairs which is over priced. and I was the one who tried to resolve the bill. lady that answered the phone did nothing but get angry with me and accused me of not wanting to pay my bill. I only asked that I be billed accordingly. she then hung up on me. and once again I never authorized anything but to pull the well pump. and I have phone records to show that the business only called me twice and that was after the repairs were finished(without authorization) to collect the outrageous amount.
