Spence & Sons Roofing

In the fall of 2014 I received bids from three local roofing contractors to repair (as needed) and re-shingle my roof on a split-level home built in the mid-1970's. Spence & Sons Roofing had a very competitive bid so I chose to go with them. I took the day off from work to observe the repairs and to become aware of any roof problems they found when the shingles were removed.

From the start of their job to the end (later the same day for my modest-size hip roof) the entire crew (sons and grandsons) worked very professionally, with full attention to details and quality of their work. When the day was finished they were thorough with their cleanup as well. In the eight months since they did the work I may have found at most 2 roofing nails that they missed in their cleanup -- a number I consider incredibly low, based on conversations with others who have had similar roofing work done at their homes of similar construction.

I have waited a while to post this review, since I wanted to see how the roof performed through the winter and through heavy rains. I am pleased to report that I have not noticed a single sign of any leak during the past 8 months, since they did their repairs and installed the new lifetime fiberglass shingles.

I give them an unqualified recommendation for their excellent work and competitive prices!
