I was in a minor car accident in [redacted] last week. At the scene of the accident, I contacted the police. As a result, the officer filed an official report. Part of the required information on the police report is the contact information (phone number and home address) of all the involved parties. [redacted] PD publishes all accident reports on their website. This week, I have been harassed multiple times by both phone and email by solicitors from [redacted] offering their services. Their voicemails and letters typically begin “I am calling about your recent accident”, giving the impression they are acting in an official capacity. They even call me when I am working at my job. Their advertising practices are highly unethical. This entity trolls local police department websites and exploits that fact that victims of accidents are required to give contact information to blanket them with solicitations of their chiropractic services.
