SPI Operating Corp formerly Alex Operating Co Reviews (3)

There are usually two people working there. An older guy with glasses and a younger chubby guy without glasses. The older guy is always friendly and I never had any problem with him. The younger guy is rude and thinks that he is always right. I spoke with them when I parked my car that I am leaving between two to three thirty. He said no problem. When I come back he said I said four PM and yhat he had buried my car. He kept arguing with me even though all I said was no I said two to three thirty there must have been an mistake. And then he goE's on and speak with the other woker(older guy) about how I am annoying and took nearly forty minutes to pull my car out. Durning the time I was waiting patiently, I saw him yell at another guy for giving him the wrong amout of money. This driver who doesn't speak English well gave him eight dollars because he saw the price on the board listing the price as 8 dollars. The driver didn't know that that was the price for one hour , instead of telling the driver politely that he gave him the wrong amount of money and that it is suppose to be 12 dollars. He said what are you kidding me, don't play with me and act like you don't understand. And shove the drivers ticket in the driver's face pointing to the time stamp( the driver stayed for three hours ) and continuE's to yell at him calling him names in Spanish. I will never park here again even though they are a cheaper option because of his attitude.

Review: I parked at this facility on October ** for the first time, wanting to try it out due to its proximity to work. I advised the parking lot attendant that I would either need to leave at 11am or 6pm, and the attendant politely advised that I would need to come back no later than 6pm as the lot would be unattended. When I came at 11am, the attendant had buried my car in the back of the lot behind several other cars and started cursing at me because I “wasn’t supposed be back until after 6pm.” It took nearly 15 minutes, and when he handed me my keys he said “I should have left it up front because I know how some people be, especially new people who can’t make up their mind.” I advised him that I didn’t like the way he was operating the parking lot, and that I’d given him clear instruction when I left the car with him that morning.

I decided to give it another chance this morning (October **) and the first thing the same attendant said to me was “I thought you didn’t want to park here no more.” I assured him that this wasn’t the case as it’s quite convenient to work and I’d like to give it another shot since I knew I’d be out past 6pm. He told me to park my car at the very end. I walked back to the front after parking, and then the attendant asked me to walk back to my car with him, stating that “I need to check because new people don’t know how to park their car right.” Satisfied by my parking job, he then proceeded to berate me by saying he overheard me last time talking to my friend about how stupid he was and how terribly he was running the lot. I’m really not sure where this came from since I said no such thing as I wasn’t with anyone. That said, I denied that I’d said anything like that and he proceeded to ask me “I know what you say. You think I’m stupid? Every time you come here you always unhappy!”

It was becoming clear that he was mistaking me for someone else as I’d parked there exactly 1 other time (10/**), and I got upset, saying that he must be confusing me with someone else as I’d only been there once before and I never traveled with anyone else to this lot. I asked him politely if it’d be his preference to refund me my money and have me park somewhere else. He responded “If that’s what you want.” I yelled at him (and I really shouldn’t have): “I wasn’t asking what I wanted. I asked you if YOU wanted me to leave because I’m feeling really confused by his attitude.” He just walked away from me and I went my own way, feeling very concerned about leaving my car with this man.

I could tell he was questioning himself a bit, perhaps recognizing half-way into the dialogue that he MIGHT have mistaken me for someone else, but he didn’t let him his attitude. It was also very discouraging to see him treating his other customers so nicely and being very rude to me. I’ve never filed a formal complaint before the Revdex.com, but this was really something else. I’ve rarely felt this disrespected by anyone, and what makes it worse is that I never gave him any good reason to treat me the way he did.

When I leave the lot tonight, I’ll never park there again. I’m not asking to get the man fired, because he seems to treat his other customers quite well. However, whether he confused me with another customer of the same race (I’m [redacted]) or he just had a very hazy memory, he had no right to treat me the way he did and I certainly hope he doesn’t treat others that way. I’d like at the very least a firm apology.Desired Settlement: Would like attendant to acknowledge that he must have mistook me for someone else and had no right to treat me the way he did. Whoever he mistook me for must have been a real [redacted], but nevertheless the attendant needs to learn greater patience and tolerance.
