Spiffykicks Shoe Rejuvenators Reviews (2)

Review: On March 9, 2013 I took a pair of Air Jordan 5's to SpiffyKicks for a full restoration of my shoes. I was told that the shoes would be ready for pick-up exactly 2 weeks from the aforementioned date. On March 23, 2013 I drove to the location thinking that my shoes would be ready since it was exactly 2 weeks later. As I walk up to the front door of the spiffykicks store, I am greeted by a paper sign that says "SpiffyKicks is closed today due to equipment check". I didn't think anything of, so I leave. I come back 2 days later March 25, 2013 in which I was greeted by the same sign that was on the door 2 days prior. At that time I call the number that is on the sign at the store. As I call the number I speak with the Owner "[redacted]" in which he informs me that "SpiffyKicks" no longer does its business out of that location. I ask him why wouldn't they notify their costumers of their move, in which he didn't provide a good excuse saying that they are expanding to online. After a couple of minutes of small talk I asked him the status of my order and he tells me that he couldn't find the ticket for the shoes but he's "sure that the shoes are definitely ready for delivery" he also said he "would call me back that evening once he found out the actual status of my order". [redacted] never returned my call; in fact I had to call SpiffyKicks myself after a couple days with no update. Upon my phone call, I spoke with one of [redacted]'s employees in which he tells me that the shoes would be delivered to me on Tuesday April 2, 2013. April 2nd comes and goes still no word. April 3rd comes and goes and still no update, so the morning of April 4 I give [redacted] a call to see what was going on with my order and to let him know how displeased I was with the customer service I have experienced from his company. He then asks me "why am I mad". I then inform him of all the calls and trips to his store that I have made and also that my order was 2 weeks late. I told him that at this point I don't even want him to work on my shoes anymore, I would just like my shoes and a refund of my $80 that I paid. He agrees then hangs the phone up in my ear. I immediately call him back and let him know how unprofessional he has been. After he calms down he asks me for a THIRD time my order number and Shoe type. At this point I am very confused because I thought we had an understanding that's order number was "[redacted]". We both grow very annoyed of one other and I just asked for a full refund along with my shoes. [redacted] replies "ok, we ship out and get business all across the globe, I'm not going to make an issue out of one order. So yes you can have your full refund. As a matter of fact we have a 4 star rating on Google so we're not losing any sleep." I said "I just wants shoes and money back." Then we both hung up and I go on google to check his rating in which he lied to me saying he has a 4 star rating, because they have a 3 star rating and 3 bad written reviews. At this point he has called me back saying the shoes are ready for delivery and that I should have them in my possession within thirty minutes. He delivers my shoes within the thirty minutes but denies ever telling me that I was getting full refund back. So he sends his assistant to hand deliver my shoes to me then proceeds to speed off in his car blasting his music. I then attempted to call [redacted] on the 2 telephone numbers I had. He picks up neither. I call back immediately to get his full name so that I may file a formal complaint. His assistant then picks up and I ask him for [redacted]'s last name in which I hear [redacted] in the background saying "don't give it to him", then he takes the phone and says "your not getting you money back and next time you call this number your gonna have some problems". I then called the authorities and filed a complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology and the $80 I spent in his store for my order and an additional $20 in gas money that I spent driving to his location the 2 aforementioned times.

Review: went to Spiffykicks on 7/10/2012 to have a pair of my sneakers to get a full rejuvenation. The owner [redacted] and his employee told me they would be done in 2 months time but to call in a month or so to see how far along they are. I called the store and spoke with his employee [redacted] at the time and was informed the shoes should be ready at the original discussed time and to call back. I called three times on 9/12/2012 and once on the 9/26/2012 and spoke with [redacted] who said to come pick up my shoes they are ready. I got there to pay for and pick up my shoes and she said they were not ready. This went on for several more months as I constantly checked by calling and visiting the store during the months September to the present. On 12/12//2012 [redacted] wrote on my original receipt "OK 12/12" after one of the normal lengthy discussions I would have with them about the status of my shoes. His employee [redacted] was no longer working there as of 12/12 and [redacted] himself admitted because of his former employees bad customer service I did not receive my shoes. As always through the months of constant conversations with first [redacted] ,than [redacted] I was promised he would have my shoe ready the following Monday. I stated I had to work and would be there on my next off day needless to say I came and my shoes were not ready. Now the story changed to he cannot find them. After even more time now he states I did not check on or come to pick up my shoe for three months and he has the legal right to do what he pleases with my product. I have phone records showing I have called his store numerous times through out the months and showing I had conversations.Desired Settlement: I would simply like a refund of my deposit and and replacement of my shoes or reimbursement for them. The shoes in question are a original pair of Tim Duncan Nike basketball shoes and value $400.00. I realize the shoes are rare and if cannot be found I do not mind taking reimbursement for the value of the shoes so I can get a replacement.
