Spirit Home Services is a despicable company. Their excuse for not showing up three times for scheduled services (purchased through LivingSocial) was they couldn't find our home. As my nephew used to say, "Yeah, right."
From the complaints I have seen on Complaintsboard.com and Yelp, this is a version of their usual scam: delay, reschedule and stall until the pre-paid (through Groupon and LivingSocial) customer simply gives up.
In that this is a national company, trading across state lines, I do so hope some law firm goes after them with a humongous class action law suit. And I've never wished that on anyone.

We used this company to check our air ducts for seasonal cleaning and dryer vent because the dryer was not heating properly. We found them on Groupon. The technician who came to the house said our ducts were relatively clean and did not need to be serviced, although I don't know how he would know this since the only thing he opened up was the return vent cover. He then tried to sell me on some UV treatment that would improve the sanitation or the life of the ducts or something - to a cost of $500+.
He began to leave after I refused the service. When I reminded him to clean our dryer vent, he went outside and cleaned some circular outlet on the side of the house for 15-20 seconds and said he was done.
My dryer continued to not dry. When I finally called out a real vent inspector/technician, he not only told me that the outlet that was cleaned was not for the dryer (it was for the stove range), but that the dryer vent was on the roof! This technician climbed up on the roof, and proceeded to suck out 10 years worth of dryer lint and junk. My dryer is now working fine.
I have never met such a dishonest technician with such a lack of knowledge about his field.

Review: Service purchased through [redacted] with this company as the company that was to provide the service. Another individual was sent the my house after 2 months of rescheduling due to the fact this company said they do not have enough technicians trained. [redacted] from Clean Air Services, LLC arrived at my house with the prior knowledge (told him on the phone) that I would have to have him step out of the house while I took my son to the bus stop which would take 5-10 min. He agreed on the phone but when asked to do this at my house became angry and upset because I he thought I was implying that he was stealing. When I returned to the house he was angry and packed up his stuff and left without finishing the job. I could tell he was angry with me so I had my husband come home. He told my husband right away he was leaving. I tried to call this company and the supervisor was rude to us and told us we were being childish. We asked for the owner but she told us he was unavailable till Wed. We kept the persons shop vac till we could get the [redacted] refund processed. He now has that in his possession. I don't care if he was upset because we have a lot of valuables in our home and I don't know him at all. The fact that multiple people were involved is upsetting. This company misrepresented their service. If I wanted the service from Clean Air Services then I would have purchased through them. I was not aware of their history and it looks like this company is not very on top of it either. People that are offended by things like this are usually guilty. This was a very poorly handled situation and I have already posted on [redacted] the dissatisfaction with the company and their subcontracted employees.Desired Settlement: I expect to speak to the owner of this business so that he can be knowledgeable about who he is sending out to peoples houses that is a representation of his company. Also, I expect an apology from the girl that was on the phone. Her name was [redacted]. She needs some education regarding customer satisfaction and how to handle situations like this. I spent two sets of days off trying to get this service completed and your company was not prepared for either time. It is very upsetting that my day was ruined and I never received the service due to your employees.

Review: I bought a [redacted] and scheduled to have my air ducts cleaned as it was required for the sale of our home to go through. My appointment was scheduled for a few weeks after I called. The company called me to reschedule and it was pushed with in 5 days of the closing of my home. The day they were supposed to come the driver called and said he would be late. Our window was between 3-5 pm. Then he called again and said he would be later. Then he never showed up. He turned off his cell phone and we were still waiting at 8 pm. The next day when I spoke with the company they were not helpful or remorseful at all. I spoke with a manager and she said there was nothing they could do. They offered to reschedule me but it was after the closing date on my home which would not work. I spent hours on the phone, had unreturned emails and phone calls. I ended up spending over 750.00 to scramble and have a company come at the last minute to get it done for us. This company does not care and they way overpromise and underdeliver. After digging deeper is seems I am not alone with my experience.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund the difference in the money I had to pay to get it cleaned last minute. I had agreed to pay 88.00 and I paid $762.00 to the new company.

Review: Tech came out to my house to clean my ducts. When I got home there was DIRT all over my house. So much that I could not eat in my kitchen or sleep in my bed. The (owner) came over the next day and accused me of staging the dirt. I could not believe it. At this point I am going to have to call a perfession cleaner to get it all up. He could care less that fist of all it happened, secound that I would be responsible for cleaning my whole house inch by in and corning by corning. This is pure dirt. I have to wash all of my linens and dishes, base boards etc; He would not admitt that his system created the issue. I am still in shock!

Have a perfession to come out and clean this mess. It is too much for one person.

Review: This company is a scam and lied to me and many other costomers. It stung us on for a while day thinking we would get services. We checked the reviews it was the same for every person. 1st they said they can't get ahold of their driver , next they say they have him the wrong number then they say they sent the wrong person then they said just wait till that 2 hour window to end.. They lied about who their manager was using wrobg name like petty and [redacted]. Then they said we can reschedule . Just being late and not calling to notify is u excepts me but they stung me along the whole day know exactly that they wouldn't be there they would never let me talk to people in charge and eventually they blocked my number this is a horrible companyDesired Settlement: They wasted my whole day and as a single mother, that is money to be made. It wasn't a one time thing this is what they did word for word to tons of people. They are liars and scammers and I want an apology from their boss for running such a mock of a company and wasted my day being lied to.

Review: I purchased this company's services oct 2014 and called to schedule. They could not come until Jan 2015 which was over 2 months away but I had already paid so I scheduled. They called less than one week ahead of the apt day to say they needed to reschedule, but again over a month away. They have repeated this practice with me 5 times!!!!!!!! I would have accepted a refund with the first cancellation, in order to hire anither service. It is now spring, my vents NEVER got cleaned the entire winter! I want my vents cleaned! I had an apt schefuled for tomorrow, monday april 27, but they called me today to reschefule again!!!! I want consumers to know that this company takes your money, then plays games for 6 months until you finally give up on the service. Consumers will never receive the service they paid for.Desired Settlement: I want the service performed immediately and a refund for waiting over 6 months!!!!!!!
