Complaint: ***To Whom this May Concern: In response to Spirit West Motor Carriage's correspondence with the Revdex.com, there are many inaccuracies. I phoned this business on the day of my visit to see if I'd be able to get an estimate and was told yes. I wanted to make
certain that it wasn't too late in the day. She states over and over that it was after inspection hours. Why would she had told me on the phone to come? My goal was to have the car re-cleaned for the third time and was told by the responsible party that they would provide a loaner car for a week while on my vacation so I was hoping to leave my car with Spirit West. I told the owner, ***, exactly the date of the loss which was 8/17/which she is denying. She indicated that it didn't matter how long the residue had been on the car. I also tried to explain to her exactly the methods used during the prior two detailing attempts. She didn't seem all that interested. I very much dispute the timeline she gives for the completion of the estimate. I didn't want her to "drop everything" in order to get to it because she said they wouldn't be able to begin any work for at least two weeks. I advised that I would like it by the end of the week to which she agreed. She also states that I requested a highest cost estimate scenario. That is absolutely false. When she told me the car would need to be re-painted I simply asked at what cost. She guessed between 7-thousand. *** states that on Tuesday, September 5th I began contacting their office. That's incorrect as I was still out of town on that date. My phone calls were necessary to get the estimate that I had been told would be completed and emailed by 9/1/17. I returned from vacation on 9/6/and still had not received it. I was being told by their staff varying accounts. One even told me they didn't know what to tell me and suggested I return to have some else give the estimate. Why would I possibly return to get another estimate when I hadn't gotten the first one. I was then told by someone else that *** (owner) would be arriving at 9:00. That time came and went so I called back to inquire. I was then told he was at another location, would not arrive until noon or so and was unreachable. That's when I asked if they couldn't call him. No was the response. *** eludes in her correspondence that I was harsh and harrassing. If she were getting the type of run around that I've merely touched the surface of explaining to you, she may understand why I was having to persistently attempt to contact someone that could deliver the estimate as agreed upon. Once I finally got ahold of *** and explained that I had an appointment with an attorney at 3:in which I'd need the estimate and he said that he'd send an email. As of the following day, I had not received said email so I contacted him once again. He said that he had sent the email several times but that maybe he didn't know what he was doing. I then suggested that he fax it to me and gave him the number, thanked him and hung up. I did not hang up on him as *** indicates. Also, *** indicated that in her experience a damage claim would not be settled within one appointment of an attorney. That is absolutely none of her business to comment. I needed the estimate for a meeting and was told I'd have it. She states "Automobile repair facilities would schedule an estimate and charge a fee. Is Spirit West not a automobile repair facility? I had told *** the circumstance surrounding the need for an estimate, so why would she agree to look at the car so if they were not qualified for the job. I find it very interesting that this business is now saying that the estimate they prepared is essentially worthlessShe claims it was written under stress. That is a huge red flag for any consumer. Why would a reputable business issue an estimate that would not be a valid legal repair cost?Although, I'm truly sorry for the injury *** suffered, the fact of the matter remains, had she followed through with getting the estimate to me by 9/1/as agreed there would be no issue.
