DO NOT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE! My year old daughter was in a car accident and this is the company the Police called to remove the vehicleThe car was on its side, so it was not just a tow, but it was not down an embankment or wedged between trees or anything too difficultAll in all, it was back on its tires and loaded on the flatbed pretty fastI am in the car business for years and the company for which I currently manage has a rather large Towing businessWhen I called Spitler's Towing to make arrangements to pick up my daughters car, I was presented with a ridiculous bill of over $1000! As I proceeded to discuss the bill and it became obvious that I knew what I was talking about, the bill dropped to $It is also very obvious that this company was trying to take advantage of a year old girl that was highly distraught resulting from her first accidentEven after I got them to reduce the bill, there are still numerous bogus charges on the billA couple examples of that: They charged extra for a Medium duty truckMedium duty trucks are for large vehicles such as dual rear wheel trucks, large vans, box truck, etcOur car is a small Mazda3! They also charged for skates, stating the vehicle would not roll on its own tiresYet, when we picked it up, our tow driver drove the Mazda onto the flatbed, so no skates were neededThey charged an admin fee to produce a billThey also charged $for fuel but their garage is literally one mile from the accident sceneBottom line, if Spitler's garage touches your vehicle, be prepared to pay an unfair, inflated bill, with a lot of extra and unnecessary charged added to itOnce they have your car, there is nothing you can do but payThey won't give it back until you do and storage charged will also continue to growThey can strong arm the public and force us to accept and pay their inflated bills without consequence and THAT makes them dishonest!
