I spoke with [redacted] from the business and he stated that there are signs all around the wash that state they are not responsible. It is a self serve wash and the employees are instructed not to touch consumers cars because they could break something.
Review: I went to the Splash & Dash car wash on 3/26/14 @ 2:14p with my [redacted]. There was a gentleman who prepped the car for the car wash. I asked him if I needed to do anything and he replied, "No, stay in your car." After exiting the car wash, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw that my antenna was broken. I drove back around the car wash and asked the gentleman who prepped the car why he did not push the antenna down. He stated, "I did not know I was supposed to." A replacement antenna is about $100.
I called the number listed @ the business. The manager/owner was uninterested and non compassionate regarding what had happened. I informed him that I had just gotten a $107 car wash. I asked him if he could help me out in any way. He replied, "there are signs posted stating we are not responsible for damage. I would like to help you but if we helped everyone whose car was damaged we would not make any money."Desired Settlement: I have used this car wash numerous times in the past. If there is as much damage to cars as the response above indicated, I would question how they stay in business. I felt the company representative did not listen to me an did not care about my situation. I would like the amount of the car wash refunded $7.00 and I think it would be nice if the company gave me a few extra free washes as compensation as I will have to pay @ least $100 out of pocket for a new antenna. Had their employee been trained properly regarding older model vehicles, he would have known to push the antenna down. I would have done so myself if I had not been told to remain in the car."
