Thank you for the inquiry of Mr. [redacted].  Cummins wants our customers to have great experiences with our products and are disappointed to learn that Mr. [redacted]’s experience was not up to our or his expectations.  We have investigated the issue and have learned that the engine repair...

was completed on June 2.  It appears that parts delays were the issue, but then expedited to finish the job.   We noticed that the complaint was submitted on May 19, cover letter dated June 2 and made it to Cummins sometime after that which was too late for it to have any effect on the repair.  If problems occur in the future, we suggest that the customer contact Cummins Care at 1-615-871-5101 for assistance.  Cummins Care will assist in locating the nearest authorized repair location and repair event scheduling as well as communication throughout the process.  Cummins Care will also escalate issues if needed to expedite the repair.   Regards,   David L[redacted] Cummins, Inc.

Review: I live nearby and was in a bit of a time squeeze. I had a garage sale that day and could not wash & detail my 1989 325iBMW convertible myself as I usually do. I was meeting some car club friends and wanted my car pristine. My rear plastic window was starting to separate from my canvas top and I pointed that out to [redacted] who was the person who greeted me at what is now CARMICHAEL CAR WASH, OWNED BY [redacted] WHO ALSO OWNES SPLASES IN [redacted] I said" it probably would not be a good idea to go through the big machine" and gave them $70.00 to do a hand wash. They took my cash BUT somehow the message was not relayed and the car went through the big machine. When it appeared in the wipe down area my ENTIRE BACK WINDOW was blown out. I was almost in tears and of course ran over to find out what they had done. They were all extremely uncomfortable because I suspect they realized they had [redacted] up and I was a bit hysterical. They took all MY insurance info, I spoke to the manager [redacted] the district manager his twin brother and they all assured me they would take care of this. They wanted to use my insurance but I don't have coverage for the body. [redacted] said he would call on Monday, Monday no call. I called on Tuesday and he said he was very busy and had traded days off with [redacted] but he would TRY to get to finding out a solution to my blown out window. Of course, this was the week we had our fist rain & I have no window on my daily driven car. Wednesday I still had not heard from anyone so I went in to see them in person. I met a man named [redacted] who assured me repeatedly "not to worry they would take care of it" I asked if I should come by on Thursday and he said "you should not have to drive down here we will call you at 10:00 tomorrow" Thursday at 10:00 no one called. At 1:00 I called them. [redacted] was super busy handling what sounded like another unhappy customer while telling me one the phone he did not have time for my problem. That annoyed me so I jumped in my car and drove to the carwash. I went in and he said "You are harassing me, if you do not leave I will call the police". I said, all I want is a plan for fixing my car. I asked who [redacted] was as I followed [redacted] around in his frantic overburdened state. He told me he did not have time & I needed to leave unless I wanted the police to remove me. I simply asked for Sonny's number as I was told he was the owner. [redacted] said "good luck getting them on the phone and good luck getting this fixed by them, then cancelled the call he acted like he had made to the police. I had said, "call the police, I'd love to tell them whats going one here!" I sat in the waiting room and called to number to the owner. I kept getting some young girl who kept putting me on hold. The forth time I called I got [redacted]'s brother the "district manager".His first words were "Is this [redacted]?, if you don't stop harassing my employees and get off the property I am calling the police." I replied," I just want you to tell me what you are doing about my car? I was told by [redacted] last night that he was taking care of everything not to worry and now I'm harassing you!" He yelled at me and said I was not to ever show up there again and he would only pay half of the replacement cost up to $300.00. I had offered to find a upholstery shop as they kept saying they could not seem to get one that would work." I told him that was unacceptable, he yelled back that was all he was going to do and that I needed to get it fixed first and then he would pay his half. I said no way, I cant trust you to keep your word now how could I ever trust you to keep your word and pay me back!" He told me to get off the property now or the police would be arriving. I went to [redacted] and told him what happened and sort of apologized for annoying him,but that he was the only person available and the one I was referred to in taking care of this from the beginning. He then said, in front of [redacted] (who witnessed all of the interactions between us), my brother is ex-military he thinks he can just bully people. He said that "this was the worst place he had ever worked, the way they treat customers was awful, he would never treat people this way!" He then told me he was authorized to pay me $300. I told him I would bring in my estimate. He then suggested I call every agency, Revdex.com, Small Claims etc. and handed me my original receipt for $70.00." Ive since got a estimate, I called them and told them I would be in on Monday with the paperwork and hoped they would do the right thing and pay me half...warning so they won't call the police. I am still waiting to return for the payment. NEVER NEVER USE THIS CAR WASH.....dispicable, unprofessional, threatening, unorganized are just some terms...and BTW they left car wash soap dripping on my paint.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology for their behavior towards me. I would like them to pay for my window replacement $648.00 & refund me the money I spent for a hand car wash when I got a machine car wash $70.00 minus whatever a cheap machine car wash is. Thank you

Review: On Thursday, April 17, 2014, I took my 2006 Toyota Sequoia into Splash & Dash for a full-service car wash which included vacuuming the interior of the car. Upon returning home, I tried to open the back door (lift-gate) and the handle was broken and I couldn't open the back of the car. (Before I went to the car wash I opened the lift-gate to clean out the back of the car so it could be cleaned -- so it was working prior to going to the car wash.)I returned to Splash & Dash immediately and spoke to the manager, Araceli, who was able to locate the employees that cleaned my car. The young man who did the vacuuming said that he did vacuum out the back of the car but the young woman who was supposed to wipe down the inside after in came of the washing said that she couldn't open the door.I asked what the next steps were as obviously the handle was broken when the lift-gate was opened to be vacuumed. I stated several times that handle was broken by one of their employees and that I expected the damage to be repaired. Araceli that she would file an insurance claim but that it would likely be denied since the car was older than 5 years. I was told that I would receive a response within a week. I asked what the next steps were if the claim was denied and how I would go about escalating the claim if it was denied. Araceli said that if the claim was denied that she would give me car detailing worth $200 and that she would give me the name and contact information for another representative that had the authority to handle this.To date, I have left three messages and have not gotten a response.I understand that my car is over 5 years old and that they state that they aren't responsible for any damage. However, this is a door handle, it's not an after-market addition to my car nor did I do something like leave my radio antennae up during the wash. This damage was caused by one of their employees.Desired Settlement: I want Splash & Dash to take responsibility for the damage to my car. I want $140.71 from Splash & Dash to replace my broken lift-gate handle. I have an estimate from a body shop to make the repair which I got on the day of the incident.I am a long-time customer and bring both of my cars to this establishment. If they are willing to offer a $200 car detail, I would hope that they would do the right thing and pay for $140 repair.
