Last June we hired Splash Paint LLC *** and ***
to paint the interior of our house. We worked out a deal to trade for a 2019 *** and 3000.00 for materials. After finally finishing the job they left to go on vacation back to their native ***, We inspected the paint job and found paint everywhere. It was all over from a VERY poor paint job by ***. It was all over floors, doors etc. We have spent months cleaning their mess. After facing them with it they told me if they couldn't get back to clean it they would power-wash our house. Of course they had no intention of ever coming back here because they ripped us off.

They used *** paint and our painters tape and ladder. *** refuses to answer emails or do anything to work it out when I asked for 3000.00 back. After actually looking them up we found they don't even hold a business license. I am sure they claim nothing on taxes or any job they do. They didn't even have 3000.00 in materials on this job. So for a total value of 19,000.00 we got stuck cleaning their mess which we are still doing. 19,000.00 for no primer and one coat of paint in most rooms. After checking with other companies the cost should have been 7-9000.00 for primer and two coats of paint.

These two guys are not paying taxes on jobs I am sure, ripping people off with no business license. We hired the because we were having a sump pump system put in out basement and they recommended them. We lost a ton of money from their shoddy job and they simply do not care. They further refuse to do anything about it.

I was recovering from a broken hip and my Wife has *** and they have no idea how hard it was to clean the paint everywhere, Further we had the painting done because we were putting the house on the market. All negative feedback on the paint job. We will most likely have to have it re-done by actual licenses professionals. We do have pictures if they are needed.

At the beginning of June of last year we were called to do an estimate in ***, ***. We were called by *** to do an estimate on his home as he needed the interior painted. The home was approximately 3000-3500 square feet. With our paint supplied, which we did not purchase in ***, we purchased the paint at *** and ***, the estimate that we gave him was $11,000. After we told him the price he implied that he did not have the money to pay $11,000 and asked if we could work out a deal for a 2019 Polaris snowmobile which he estimated at $8,000 and a check for $3,000 making the total job $11,000. We agreed to this deal. *** had every right to look at other paining companies and estimates from different places if he thought that he was getting “ripped off” by us. After about 3 weeks we completed the job. A few days before the completion of the job I told *** and his wife to put some painters tape at areas they deemed needed fixing to which there was. All of these areas were fixed by the last day of the job. On the last day, we did a walk around with both *** and his wife to make sure everything looked good to them, which it did. This is when I shook hands with *** and his wife and he wrote the title over and handed it to me and we called it good. *** even went as far as to go on *** and write that we did a good job and thanked us for working with him. After about 5 weeks I received an email from *** stating that he was not satisfied with our services and that there was paint all over the place and that other companies would have done it for less etc. I have no clue what happened in the 5 weeks that it took him to write an email stating the complaints above. All in all, we were very fair to *** by agreeing to this deal even though the snowmobile had issues that we did not notice until months later. If anything, we got screwed on this deal because the snowmobile had issues and any real money we saw out of this job was the check we received for $3,000 at the beginning of the job.

Revdex.com:
The businesses response is full of lies. First off the job was quoted at 10,000.00 not 11,000.00. Secondly our house is 2400 square feet not 3000-3500. we never received any kind of receipt from this company. Cheap paint and one coat in all but 2 rooms. We were led to believe this was a licensed company and though *** say's it is I have attached proof it is not. The Attorney general sent me this information and had this job been done in *** they would have been arrested. Areas were not fixed before they left, paint was not cleaned up and we have spent months cleaning up their mess. The walls and ceiling looked ok. Our complaint is based on the mess they left for us to clean up. Paint everywhere around trim, on doors, cabinets etc. They were going back to their native *** and couldn't get out of our house fast enough. it took a month for us to contact them because they were on vacation in *** SO HAVING SOME RESPECT we waited to contact them. They claim they were fair, no fair would have been to come clean the mess they left. they were not even prepared to do the job. No ladders or painters tape, or not enough so they used our. As far as the snow mobile goes issues with it are another lie. It had a hundred or so mile on it and was brand new. They are not licensed and therefore it was illegal for them to even do this job. The *** Attorney general is working on this and if it is deemed illegal they will be prosecuted. They asked for 3,000.00 for supplies and spent a tiny part of that, All lies and deceit from these people. As far as the snow machine they sold that off and if it did have issues why did they not tell me? Another lie. All we asked was that they come help us clean the paint which they had no intention to do. I am shocked they even responded to this complaint as they also have the *** Attorney general to deal with now. They can refund half of the job which would be 6500.00 with the initial quote at 10,000.00 and 3,000.00 for materials or we can sue them for the entire job. All of this because they wouldn't come clean their own mess.
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.
