Review: On Tuesday July *, 2013, Splendid Taxi, 220 Ferris Ave. White Plains, NY. 10603 took my reservation by telephone to be picked up Wednesday July **, 2013 at 12:00PM Noon. On Wednesday July **th at 12:00 Noon the scheduled pick day, I called Splendid Taxi to ask if driver was on their way. The rude female operator confirmed driver is on their way and I would make my [redacted] bus at 12:30PM. The 12:30PM [redacted] bus was needed to transport party of three to Westchester Airport for [redacted] scheduled flight. At 12:15PM we made second Splendid Taxi call, same rude female operator said, “There is no scheduled pickup for us”. We called another local taxi company that responded immediately to our urgent request and made all our connections. Warning stay away from Splendid Taxi, 220 Ferris Ave. White Plains, NY, Phone: ###-###-####. They also operate under different addresses and phone numbers: 175 Main St. White Plains, NY 1060###-###-####. And it’s very possible different company names. Here are several false advertising messaging they use on their website: “provided an excellent taxi service for the area of White Plans. Executive Taxi Service to provide reliable transportation and professional service. When you need fast, dependable transportation anywhere SPLENDID TAXI comes to you.” Even “White Plains” spelling is incorrect on their website, they have it as “White Planis”. The rating for Splendid Taxi should be “NO STARS” with warning to avoid!Desired Settlement: Pay the cost of us using another Taxi Cab Company and inconvience and making false statements $100.00

Review: The service at this company is terrible. I have faced this on multiple occasions. The people that answer the phone are rude, hang up on you in the middle of your questions and queries. They are not clear on their response which obviously provokes questions on the customer's end. For example, when I called for a taxi today someone picked up and I said I needed a taxi going to north white plains station. They responded '12 minutes'. I asked 'Don't you need the address where to pick me up from?'. They said '12 minutes' again. I said 'What does that mean?' And they hung up on me. This was not the first time they hung up. On another occasion, I had paid $7 to go from north white plains station to my house (this was the first time I used their service) and paid with a credit card. The second time they said $9. And an additional $1 to pay with credit card. They were so rude because I wanted to pay with a credit card. The pricing doesn't seem constant. The additional $1 for paying with a credit card just at whim doesn't seem right either. Because there is a shortage of taxi companies here in White Plains the taxi companies feel they can get away with any kind of behavior. Splendid is not the only company that behaves this way. I have had similar experiences with the other taxi companies located here as well. But because this is my most recent experience (today) I am filing a complaint against them. If I experience this behavior from any of the other companies I will certainly file a complaint against them as well.Desired Settlement: I am only interested in an improved customer service since there is a shortage of taxi companies here in White Plains and there is no other option but to use them.
