Review: We purchased a used truck from Cal's car dealership in Airway Heights. There is a plug on the back where the trailer /pull behind would plug into. The plug was a square instead of a circle connection. We were recommended to get the service done by the dealership Cal's to go to Spokane Topper in the valley and they would give a deal on doing the repair / to get the correct plug in for the trailer. We took the truck in and were charged $228.26 for there services. Then we went to go and hook our trailer to go for the weekend on June 01, 2013 and found that the signals were not working on the left side. We purchased our trailer from Blue Dog RV in Post Falls. So being unsure of what the problem was we called them first and spoke with the service professional over the phone. He advised before we attempt to bring in the trailer they would like to look at the truck and its hook ups. Since it would be a hazardous/and against the law to be on the road with a trailer not having properly working signals. We took in the truck first to Blue Dog RV and they confirmed the setup of the plug was not correct. They had to redue the plug setup and we incurred $92.86 to get the original repair corrected. I properly notifed Spokane Topper to advise the original repair they did it was not correctly done. The service professional [redacted] at Spokane Toppers was rude and un professional stating that we should have just called them first and that they will not extend a refund for the $92.86 that we incurred to fix the improper work because in his words - they did not put in the original plug setup only switched it out and he stated they have no way to be able to test it as he does not have the eq. there to do that type of testing. When I asked him about his warranty on the work and doing this type of work would require him to make sure it works correctly he stated again no way to test it and it is not his companies fault. He has refused to provide a written invoice for the work they preformed this has been requested 3 times.Desired Settlement: I would like for this company to refund the additional expense we incurred to correct their repair job that was done incorrectly. $92.86. Since this company is stating they can preform this work or repair they should be held to the standard to ensure they have the correct eq. to ensure it works correctly before it leaves their shop.
