Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because : I was also told that there was no reason to go beyond 200$ Insurance because bike flights is a trust worthy shipping company and that there shouldn’t be any problems shipping my bike The shipper also said that I should be safe with my choice of 200$ insurance After I declined going beyond 200$ insurance, standing by his business the shipper told me that there wouldn’t be any problems and that the insurance was just in case something happens to my bike I paid and left the storeI took some photos of my bike and it’s damages and the manner of packing it was delivered in on the day I received my bike as proof of poor packing especially for a claim of years experience in bike packing and shipping I have no reason to believe this was unintentional as I stated before this is not the first time my bike has been treated poorly by the shippers bike shopThis is not a “understanding of frustration” situation the shipper doesn’t own a LOW// bicycle like the one I left in his care and would’nt know of my frustrations, he hasn’t been through what I’ve been through with my bike and his bike shopAgain this matter is not resolved as far as l am concerned Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I do not agree with the response I received based on the fact that I have damaged property and I am not accepting 200$ as full payment for my damaged propertyMy bike was packed wrong by the shipper and suffered damage in transit because of it Clearly this was done intentionally with years of experience and knowledge of how to get out of taking responsibility for bad business and damaged property, this is not the first time that my bike has been damaged by this bike shop after being
Left in it’s careThe shipper claims years of experience of packing and sending bikes and that the same years legitimizes the way he packed and shipping of my bike and if that’s a fact or something to be considered in this issue then please take into consideration that after years of experience , I the “customer” received a damaged bike frame after having it shipped By Spoked Bikes and Stuff and that I will no longer be doing business with Spoked Bikes And Stuff, nor will I send any customers to their bike store to do business in the future This issue is not resolved in my opinion and the 200$ clears the shipping company the bike shop used for shippingIn my opinion the shipper knew that I only paid 200$ insurance for my bike and purposely packed my bike using cheap paper materials and improper positioning of wheels, bars and seat post packed in an old used bike box and shipped to me.

The customer was given the option to purchase insurance for the full value of the bicycleHe declined stating that he didn't want to spend that much. *** and Bike Flights have admitted fault and claimed full responsibility for the damages. We have no reason to intentionally damage the customer's bikeI understand his frustration, but this accusation holds no merit

This matter has been resolved between the Mr. [redacted] and Bike Flights (the shopping service). Mr [redacted] purchased $200 worth of insurance through Bike Flights/[redacted]. Bike Flights has taken full responsibility on behalf of [redacted] and was awarded his full insurance pay out yesterday...

11/30/17. Mr. [redacted], already a long time customer of the shop, came in to have his bike shipped to LA from St. Louis. Initially he wanted it there in less than two days. After reviewing the Bike Flights rates he determined that this was too expensive and chose a slightly slower delivery time. At this time, our staff walked Mr. [redacted] through all of his shipping and insurance options from no insurance to full coverage. He chose to go with the $200 coverage because he stated that full coverage was too expensive. In regards to the Bike Flights blue box. I informed Mr. [redacted] that these boxes must be purchased from Bike Flights and would take 4-5 business days to arrive in the shop prior to packing. Once packed, he would then be looking at 3 more days before the bike would arrive in LA. Due to his short time frame, Mr. [redacted] declined. In regards to the packing done by our staff. Mr. [redacted]'s bicycle was packed in a standard bicycle box. This was a used and undamaged box, specifically made for shipping bikes. Two new bicycles had arrived at the shop the day prior, so we used the packing material from both bicycles to pad and protect the customer's bicycle. Our staff has nearly 10 years experience in the bicycle industry, we have unpacked hundreds of bike and packed dozens for shipping. Needless to say, we are vary familiar with the process and standards required to safely package a bicycle for shipping. We understand Mr. [redacted]s frustrations. As fellow cyclists, the last thing we want is see any bike damaged in shipping and as a small business with consistent 5 star reviews customer service is our top concern. We stand by the service Mr. [redacted] recieved, both with the physical packing of the bicycle and the step-by-step guidence through the shipping process via Bike Flights. As stated before, Bike Flights has taken responsibility for the condition in which the bicycle arrived to its destination and consequently paid out the full amount of insurance purchased by Mr. [redacted].
