Review: Owner Of this business [redacted] Advertised a car for sale. The car was a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus. The advertised price was $1200.00 In the ad on craigslist he stated the car needed a thermostat replaced. After purchasing the car from him I later took the vehicle to a mechanic and discovered the cars timing chain was bad and the water pump seized up which cost me 1500.00 to repair. My complaint with this is he diagnosed a repair problem when he wasnt mechanically inclined to do so and stated to me that he drove the car sometimes around town where he lives. So once I found out what was wrong with the car I asked him if he knew it. he says no. well if he drove the car he would have known not only did it need the water pump and timing chain but both axles need replaced as well as brakes rotors and motor mounts. I would very much like to have something done about this.Desired Settlement: I would like him to at least cover the repairs that still are needing done to the car or cover what I have already had repaired.

This car was purchased "as is", it clearly was advertised that it overheated. Buyer purchased a car for 1/3 of book value, it was sold for this price for a reason. Buyer diagnosed problem as being the thermostat not us the seller. Buyer did sign an as is form and understood that the car had issues and that is why it was sold as cheaply. This is merely buyers remorse.
