Review: I sighned up for a membership with sport fit. I sighned a 12 month contract with them in august of 2010. I paid through March 2011. This gym was having problems at this time with maintaining the tread mills. I would come in to a full gym and 4 of the tread mills would be down. I talked to the manager several times about it but nothing was done for several weeks. I told them I wanted to cancel my membership and that I wanted to go elswhere. They told me I had to write a note and pay the remaining three months of dues... It may have been four. I wrote the note and told them to bill me as I had no money on my person. I left the gym and signed up with another local gym which I have been a member ever since. I never received a bill for the remaining months and I never gave it another thought. Now mind you I have not paid anything since then and never received a bill or a late notice or anything for that matter for the last two years. Out of the blue they send me a bill for 12 billing payments. Mind you I have not changed address. my email address has not changed but they never billed me. Now they are trying to use a third party [redacted] to extract 700 dollars from me. Please remember I have not recieved any communication from them regarding the continued billing.Desired Settlement: I know that I owe for the remaining months but I also know that I do not owe for 12 plus months of billing especially when no bill was sent to my address or my email.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. While I believe that I canceled for good cause and within the spirit of the policy sport fit had in place, I will agree to the 400 dollars. I belive this to be a high price and the cost of this mistake will make me weary of sighning for any gym pass from this company again as ALL other gym passes in the [redacted] area have turned out to be non contract month to month passes which is what a reputable company does when they have products and services that are of value and priced accordingly. I will make payment within thirty days and thank you Revdex.com for helping us out.
