In reference to ID #[redacted] called me very upset about her generator set we had serviced in May 2017. She said it was leaking gas out of the air filter and was running all over the carburetor body. She also said that it had leaked all over her floor in her house where she was...
going to start the machine. She said it could have caught on fire and burned her house down. She proceeded to tell me what poor service we had given her.Please review attached sheets from Generac in regards to operation. Before reading these tips always read the Owner's Manual and instructions for your generator. NEVER run a generator indoors or in partly enclosed areas such as garages. See rest of safety tips.I asked her how long the generator set had been sitting with fuel in it. She said she had started the unit several times since picking it up from us with no problems and it ran fine. However, it was now leaking fuel out of the carburetor. I asked her to bring her unit in so we could see what was wrong with the carburetor or float inside. All that it takes to cause this to happen is a small piece of trash or rust in the tank.We have worked for [redacted] on this and other equipment for approximately 5 to 6 years. I again asked her to bring generator set over so we could see what happened and she could stay with us while we took it apart to see what was causing the problem. Again, she said no.We at C & R Lawn Mower Shop Inc. have been repairing, servicing and selling all types of outdoor power equipment since 1975 and we stand behind out services.
