I had signed up for there box. Placed it on hold after the first one. They charged me anyway.
Their website said I was on hold then they charged me anyway. After contacting the company they insisted there records showed it was not on hold. I attempted to resolve the issue but they insist that their website did not place it on hold. I do not have a screen shot as I thought dealing with a company in the US I would not need it. The website said I would not be charged and they charged me anyway.

Desired Outcome

I just want my money back that I was charged for, they refuse to hold the box. There are two charges on my account one for 70 something that is legit and another for 104.99 that is not

On July 1, 2020 we contacted Mr. and we both came to a mutual understanding of the issue. As of now, we are both satisfied with the outcome and Mr. has even stated he might attempt business with us again in the future. To our understanding, both parties are good with dismissing this complaint.

Payment was processed when it should not have been. Their website policies are misleading and not clearly marked. Customer service did not help me.
While I do understand that the membership would renew, it was not made clear to me when it would renew. I did not get a notification of this, nor was I expecting it to renew when it did. This was a significant and unexpected deduction from my bank account, which is unfair to not know was coming.

I was under the impression that it would renew after I have received each of the boxes that I originally paid for. For all three boxes thus far, they have arrived late. The box that I ordered with the original subscription on Black Friday arrived just two days before Christmas. This was after I was supposed to give the box to my recipient for our planned Christmas gathering and I had to reschedule. The second box in January, and the third box for February shipped late because of a delay on the company's end. In fact, I still have not received the February box. While I received emails about these delays in Jan and Feb, this is not good protocol for your company. Their customer service department insisted that the boxes were shipped within the expected window, and this simply is not true.

In addition, when I signed up for the subscription, my boxes should have arrived every 3 months, as per my selection. I wanted them to arrive periodically throughout the year for my father. However, I have received three thus far in consecutive months. While I can overlook this and be flexible, it also was not what I signed up for. It's another reason why I would not expect a yearly membership to renew 3 months after I paid for a yearly subscription. Customer service responded that this is in no way their error, because it was what I selected in the process of subscribing. However, my account states "299.97 every 3 months" in which the boxes are being sent every 3 months. On their site, I clicked on "Quarterly" and then selected my option for quarterly delivery but their site is not clearly defined. What they are alleging that I signed up for is not what I understood to be the case.

I understand that there is a "no refund" policy, as stated by customer service, but I do believe that this is an extenuating circumstance. I was not notified of the renewal, and I was not expecting it to happen because I have not received the boxes that I have already paid for before the renewal. I have not received any product that would come with the renewal, so refunding my money would not be a loss to them in terms of missing products.

Desired Outcome

As requested to customer service, I request to be refunded the money that they took from my account without authorization.

Stated in our terms and conditions it says that these memberships are continuous until cancelled.

"Memberships and Gift Memberships are continuous and automatically renew unless you cancel or we terminate your account."

Members can access this information through their portal along with contact our customer service at any time which is the only route we have listed on our website is acceptable.

It does not say anywhere in our terms and conditions that these boxes renew after being received and our company has never had this as our policy. This is the statement that *** originally reached out explaining was the reason why she did not cancel her policy in enough time. She was stating that she shouldn't have to cancel before she receives her shipment which in our terms and conditions states this is not the case.

Please read these terms and conditions that must be agreed upon to become a member to see that all member boxes are billed at the beginning of the month and shipped out between the 15th and the 28th.

Although we may have sent the packages later in the above time frame, we make sure all of our shipments are sent within these dates.

Unfortunately, your statements regarding these shipments is not what we see in our system. We see the customer signed up through the customer portal for Denali boxes every 3 months and that is what has been shipped. Also attached to your email above it shows this is the specific membership you have "Denali monthly 3". Meaning 3 monthly boxes in a row.

If you were wanting the 4 boxes a year this would've been our Quarterly membership -

All of these membership details are on our website and chosen by the member themselves (ONLY) so this option cannot be incorrect.

As the Sportsman's Box stated, "we may have sent the packages later in the above time frame" acknowledges that the boxes were shipped late. It does not make sense to charge a customer a renewal membership when the original membership has not yet been fulfilled. Of four subscription boxes, I was charged a renewal after only receiving two. It is in part this delay, combined with unclear messaging of package options on their website and email correspondence, that resulted in this issue. As stated before, the subscription timing that happened is not what I knowingly subscribed to.

It is in poor taste that the company fails to recognize their role in this, and will not refund a subscription renewal amount when those boxes have not yet been assembled or shipped. It is also poor practice to charge customers without any sort of correspondence indicating that this will happen. While this may be posted on their website, the portal where they host account settings and policies is frequently down and poorly designed to intuitively follow. Their lack of ability for customers to call and inquire does not help, and digital written responses are delayed and inadequately explained. I do not feel that the Sportsman's Box understands my concern and has made absolutely no effort to resolve this issue.

My minor son found this website and ordered. He changed his mind and after the 1st pmt and delivery he decided he did not want it and sent a cancellation request. Two separate deductions from our bank account of $29.99 each and 1 box delivery has been made. The response from this business stated to him he can't cancel because he agreed to a full year commitment. He came to me with this issue and I have sent emails to refund the 2nd $29.99 and a cancellation with no further charges or commitment to the 1 yr. At this point I just want a cancellation with no further charges.

I went on this site and you do not see the commitment without knowing what you are looking for. A minor would not know, there are tricky sites like this. He tried in good faith to cancel with no more charges. I have tried and no success.

This website needs to have the agreement in full view before processing order.

Please know that Mrs. is confusing our business for our neighbor's business called The Sportsman's Box. Tailwaters Fly Fishing Company is indeed at 1933 E. Levee Street in Suite A while the Sportsman's Box is at the same address in Suite B.

If they are in the same suite it is not noted on shipping label from The Sportsmans Box. I wish for the Revdex.com to continue the complaint which I did include all the contact information I could find on their website or shipping label. Please contact the business in Suite B.

Sportsman's Box would like to respond to the case that *** has brought upon our company.

Unfortunately for Chase when signing up for a monthly subscription box he selected our yearly plan. All terms and conditions of these plans can be found at the link at the bottom of this response.

When signing up for our memberships there is a very legible page that shows all of our different types of memberships and the option he specifically picked reads as follows: "YEARLY PLAN PAID MONTHLY $24.99/month SAVE $60 ANNUALLY".

This makes it very apparent when signing up for this membership you will be committed to our 12 month term and you will be saving per box because of this.

We cannot and should not be responsible for someone that did not diligently look over the terms and conditions or read what he was singing up for at sign up. If he would've read our terms and conditions he would have seen the first point which is age.

"Age

By using the Site and Service I am at least 18 years of age. I understand and will use any and all items in monthly boxes as the items are intended by the manufacturing company to be used. I as the consumer and/or subscriber to the monthly box can not and will not hold the Sportsman's Box and it affiliates, including, but not limited to, Owners, Employees, Third Party Vendors liable for any injury, including but not limited to, death for any reason pertaining to the boxes and the items included.

I understand that if I give the monthly box as a gift that I become the responsible party and acknowledge and agree to educate the gift recipient of any danger that may be included in the service."

They are a shady company that prey on consumers. They make sure there are no upfront warnings about signing up for their products. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SO CALLED COMPANY! THE QUALITY OF WHAT WAS SENT IS CHEAP MADE JUNK. Just go to local sportsmans store and buy what you need.
