Review: Owner agreed to charge me $100 for my carpet cleaning. After he claimed to clean my carpet it still had dirt and stains.

Service Date was July 14th 2013 at 10:00am. I made the pre appointment with the owner. We agreed that he would charge my between $100 and $130 for the service. He came to my home that morning at 10:00 am. He looked at my carpet and said he would charge me $170. I told him that I could not afford that and declined to have the service done. I left my home. The owner called me back and said he would do the job for $100.00 cash. He asked me to pay him upfront because he did not want to wait for me to get back because he had another job to do. Against my gut feeling and better judgment, I paid him $100 cash and he gave me a receipt and I left. I returned at 11:30 and the owner was gone. I walked in and say that my carpets were still dirty. He didn't even attempt to remove any stains. It was if my carpet had not been cleaned. I was distraught because I had moved out of the property and had to return the keys to the owner the next morning with proof that I had the carpet cleaned. I will now be charged by the owner for a service that I paid for and didn't get.

I called the owner of twenty times and he would not answer the phone. I had to call him from a friend's phone. He told me that he should not have talked to my "[redacted]". He told me, "I took the liberty of taking pictures of your carpet."

He hung up on me and I have not heard from him since. His guarantee states that if the customer is not happy with the job he will return and fix it. He has not offered to do that and refuses to take my calls.

Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund for my money. I was literally ripped off. Because I pre-paid for the service. He took advantage of me by doing a less than horrible job. There is no way for me to gain access to the property for him to do it over now because the keys have been returned to the property management. In turn I will have incurred charges by the property management to get the carpet cleaned up to standard.

Our Customer Miss [redacted] had call us to clean the carpets in her home, she had been referred by a church friend. when we talked over the phone, I told her that the job sounded like a 190 to 200.00 job but that we would have to see it first. When we got to her home on time for the appointment she was not home. After calling her she showed up a maybe 15 minutes later. After letting us into the house that she had rented and was now in the process of returning the keys We found the carpet to be in horrific condition with fresh permanent stains And to make the carpet descent it would be 220.00 At that point she started to cry and can point fingers at me as if I had done something wrong. Told me that she only had one hundred dollars left to her name and that was for me to do the carpets. It was a very nice Sunday morning, She had been refereed by a friend of the church, So I decided to do it for the hundred dollars. I was paid up-front and as I stared to do I started noticing more and more reasons that she wasn't going to get her deposit back. So I took out my device and took pictures of the disgusting carpet and the filthy house. I cleaned her carpets the best I could without charging her more for stains that where simi permeate.
