Spotsylvania Overhead Door Reviews (1)
Review: On July 17, 2013, I contracted with the [redacted],to repair a garage door which had two bent panels that needed to be replaced. [redacted] also noticed a piece of trim which needed to be replaced and offered to furnish and replace it. At the time of the estimate he quoted me a verbal price of "around" $275 "or so". This sounded reasonable and we agreed that he would return the following day and complete the job and be paid. He returned the following day, July 18, and effected the repairs on the door and explained that he had failed to pick up the trim piece but was about to depart on a family vacation and would finish the job soon after his return which was to have been within the next week. He also explained that time was short and he hadn't had time to create an invoice but would email it to me that evening. I paid him by check for $282 which we agreed would be the total for the entire job. I started calling him two weeks later, giving him enough time to get caught up with bigger jobs that had probably become due in his absence. In the ensuing weeks it became more and more difficult to get hold of him by telephone, however he did give me two commitment dates to complete the job, neither of which he met nor called to say that he would not meet them. I continued to call but he would never answer the phone or return my voice mails. I was finally able to speak with him by telephone on September 16 at which time I explained I wanted two things from him. The first is a detailed invoice and the second is return of the money I paid for the trim piece. He assured me he would take care of it that evening. He didn't.Desired Settlement: Completed invoice detailing parts and labor charges and refund of charges for trim piece.
