We cremated my uncle who had no life insurance and basically was indigent for less than a grand.
7 months later we are in almost the same situation and being told we have to pay twice as much. Not to mention the funeral director wants the check in his name not the funeral home...hmm...wasn't like that before...

Review: Spriggs and Watson funeralized my mother, in August of 2013 using a $10,000 burial trust which we set up. They did not pay cemetery fees (which they had done with an identical burial trust for my father who died December 2007.) The cemetery is due money for a vault and for the opening and closing of a grave (which was already purchased years ago.) I have notified Mr. [redacted] of the problem and he agreed we would work it out. However, he no longer returns my calls. [redacted] Cemetery would like to be paid. I would like to have a settlement of this situation.Desired Settlement: I would like for Spriggs and Watson to reveal their costs for my mother's funeral so that we can determine the amount available to be paid to the cemetery.Hopefully this can be settled.

Review: Statement of Funeral Goods and Services Selected has been changed and is incorrect and was never finally agreed upon (i.e. no signature). Funds are due back to the family which company doesn't want to do.Desired Settlement: We want an agreed upon Statement of Funeral Goods and Services Selected and the resulting funds delivered (at least $350.00) to the Family.
