Unprofessional and Liars
On June 7th they came to fertilize and left a note to call to set up the Weed Control spray. I called on June 8th and again on June 19th and no one has come yet. I called today and the manager said it was to hot to do it and if I didn't like it, he would cancel my service. I've been with them for over 5 years. I guess that doesn't matter to them. One of their competitors has assumed the remaining visits for this year and will be spraying next week.

They cheat.
They said that they came to my house on a certain day and gave the service, however, I was at home on that day, and they didn't do it. That was a heavy rainy day, and they said it was not a rainy day. The online past weather clearly shows it was a rainy day. When I called, the people who answered are very rude and lie.

Unprofessional and non-response
I, Bob Yandall of 221 Kirkwood Drive, have been a customer of the Spring-Green in Fayetteville, NC for over 10-years . . . and I have not filed a complaint of any type . . . until now. The treatment of my front and back lawns promised the elimination of various types weeds that did not belong with my planted Bermuda grass. . . . and yet . . .year in year out . . . there still is an abundant of un-named growth that is unsightly. And now, the straw that broke (the camel's) my back . . . I scheduled an afternoon mosquito spray for Thursday, 2 July 2020 . . . in anticipation of my family, friends and their children arriving that evening for the 4th of July weekend. Spring Green never showed up . . . and 4:00 p.m., I called the office and was assured that the gentleman has several other jobs and he may get to me later on after 5 or 6 p.m. I was ok with that, as long it gets done. Nobody came . . . their office was closed when I called back . . . Friday . . . Saturday . . . and still . . .no one. And now, Tuesday 7 July . . . family have left with bugs and mosquito bites . . . I am absolutely embarrassed, disappointed, and I am about to lose it with Spring Green . . . so . . . writing all this is therapeutic for me . . . and I am sure I will be much calmer once I speak to your local office here Fayetteville NC. Happy belated Independence Day by the way.

DO NOT USE THIS LAWN SERVICE! After the 3rd application this spring and summer I noticed various types of weeds and crabgrass springing up everywhere on my lawn and the general condition of the lawn was not acceptable. I call and informed I believe it was Mike about the weeds, crabgrass and overall condition of the lawn not being acceptable. I was told they would send someone out to evaluate the lawn. When I came home from work a day or so later there was a slip stating they had treated the lawn no other information. About 3 to 4 days later when I came home from work I noticed the entire lawn on the side of my home that adjoins my neighbors lawn was brown and dying while my neighbors lawn was still green. I took a photo and sent it to Spring-Green with an email indicating the conditions of my lawn dying as a result of the recent application. Of course no response to the email so I call a few days later and was told that the lawn was not dying just going dormant due to the heat. I ask if that were the case then why is my neighbors side the same section of lawn that they did not treat still green and full. I then got several excuses all of which were not Spring-Greens fault and that the grass was not dead just dormant and would come back as soon as it got cooler. Now it it September 13, 2019 a month or two after the treatment that started killing my lawn and there is nothing left but dead brown straw grass and dirt when you rake it up. But remember it was not Spring-Greens fault the grass was going dormant. Please see the photos below so you all can see for yourselves the actual conditions of my lawn today 9/13/2019. NEVER USE SPRING-GREEN LAWN SERVICE and please tell everyone you know. Oh yes my satisfaction rating would be less than zero.

You might as well have your dog poop in your yard and leave it there...Spring Green burnt up my grass and charged me for a service I did not request. I don't know what kind of treatment they use, most of the time it did nothing. I decided to complain and they put something down that burnt a large patch in yard killing the grass. These people do not know what they're doing...don't waist your money on these clowns.

Do not use this service! I started this service April 8th 2018 and told them I would not sign a contract until I was sure of the type of service I would receive, and they were fine with that. After the first application, I waited 2 weeks for the weeds to curl up and die, but they just kept growing. When I called, and they sent someone out on May 1st. (The person who came out and told me that the first guy was fired for not doing his job). The second treatment appeared to start working and the weeds began to die out, but by the middle/end of June they were back and so I called again on July 14. The woman I spoke with did nothing but make excuses and told me the weeds were there because I must not have watered enough and that the first treatment was not even for weeds. When I told her the lawn was better cared for by the previous service, she said why did I change then? She was rude and insulting and grabbing at straws to defend her position. She said she would charge me extra for breaking the contract. She was most unprofessional and I felt like I was arguing with a high schooler. Again,...you get what you pay for... Think twice before engaging this service!

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never stop talking about how poorly I was treated by the owner of this store and would encourage anyone who considers doing business with this type of human to TAKE YOUR BUSINESS to [redacted] online. Same products-1/3 less and much better customer service. Mr. [redacted] should be ashamed of himself for talking to customers the way he talked to me.

I purchased furniture in Novemeber 2015, with in 10 months the fabric tore at the seems and recliners mechanical devices were breaking. Gavigan's refused to stand behind their product due to being clearance item but sold me a warranty as new furniture. Complaint was filed. Do not buy from this company. As I type this, my aunt had furniture delivered. The sofa was too wide to fit, they are charging her a "restocking" fee for it to be taken back to a warehouse.

Hello, my name is Lindsey Squillario. I recently purchased my first peice of "adult" furniture through Gavigans, Westminster store. I was beyond excited to get a new bedroom set with a brand new mattress. I received my order and was in love with it, until 2 weeks went by and I started to develop itchy rashes/welts all over my body. Thinking it was just bug bites or an allergic reaction to something, I let it play out. After multiple doctors appointments over 4 months, I was stuck and couldn't figure out what was causing my skin issues. After speaking with some of my co workers, they said check for bed bugs, which I thought there is no way, this is a brand new bedroom set and brand new mattress.

To make a long story short, I lifted my NEW mattress off of the frame and found that it was in fact, infested with bed bugs. I had to immediately remove the mattress from my room and put it outside.

I urgently called gavigans in Westminster, who put me in touch with their "customer service" representative, named Eileen. Eileen had told me to take pictures of the labels on the mattress and email them to her. I didn't wait and sent the email ASAP. The next day, I still had no response from Eileen or even an acknowledgement that she had received the email.

I decided to call Eileen to speak with her over the phone. After multiple attempts of dialing her extension and being "disconnected" I called the Westminster store who got in touch with her right away.

I was told that I would have an answer or call back from Eileen later in the day. Meanwhile, I have no bed to sleep on and now have terminix coming out to my house for extermination of the bed bugs, which will not be cheap.

After waiting about 6 hours without receiving a phone call, I called back to the store who transferred me to Eileen. Eileen had said, because it had been 4 months, it is not their fault that my mattress was infested with bed bugs and there was nothing they could do. Mind you, I had spent 700$ on this mattress and have had problems ever since receiving it.

When trying to ask Eileen more questions, I had ask to speak with the supervisor for customer service. The supervisor got on the phone and began repeating what Eileen had said. She was so rude and inconsiderate, not even letting me speak, saying it was not their problem, then she hung up on me.

I understand that it had been 4 months since receiving the mattress and I understand there is "nothing they can do" but it is the pure fact that these people work in customer service and it is their job to LISTEN to the customer, and I was spoken to rudely and even hung up on.

I will never recommend friends, family, or anyone else to purchase furniture or mattresses from your store.

I believe the complaint was premature and is in the process of being resolved. We at Spring-Green feel customer service is the most important aspect of our business. The fence posts were...

nicked during the process of the lawn aeration. They were small and near the bottom of the fence post. There were 2 attempts to repair the fence posts and turf between the posts. The first of which was the same day. After hearing our customer was unsatisfied, the matter was sent to [redacted]. This was on a Wednesday. [redacted] was out of the office until Monday (3 working days). [redacted] called the customer and during the conversation, assured the customer the fence posts would be replaced. 2 days later the complaint I am responding to now was received. When I brought the complaint up to the customer, she explained a friend had suggested she file a complaint. She also explained she working with me was a breath of fresh air and was happy with the way the process was going. As of today, we are waiting on the fence company to respond with plan.

Review: I did not request service for 2013. I received an application to my lawn in the Spring without my permission. I did not sign an agreement/contract nor did I express any intention on receiving service for 2013. I requested 4 applications in 2012 and did not renew for 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like to be cleared of the current charges with good standing.

When a customer signs up they are sent a confirmation letter stating the

services ordered along with our company policies. One of our policies listed on the letter is

our services are continuous season to season, unless we are notified

differently. This original confirmation

letter along w/ every invoice (left at the customers door after each visit)

states the policy as well. In addition,

each winter we mail out 2

letters reminding the customer of the auto renewal policy. These letters come in an envelope that states

“NOTICE OF SERVICE CONTINATION.” Attention: your Spring-Green service for this

year has been scheduled. Please read the

enclosed information for details.” [redacted]

received these letters 5/14/12, 11/15/12, 1/25/13. Attached with this response is an example of

these letters, as well as the envelope they are mailed in.

Spring-Green did Mr. [redacted]'s 1st treatment this year on 5/6/13. He first called to complain 2 days later mainly about results but also about the auto renewal policy. He then proceeded not to contact us again until August 21, 2013. We explained the policy to him both calls where he proceeded to hang up on us. We tried working w/ Mr [redacted]. We offered to take care of half the bill in order to cover our materials as we did the service in good faith.

Due to the fact that we did not receive cancellation from Mr. [redacted] this season until AFTER the 1st treatment we feel he's responsible for the payment. However, Spring-Green is in good standing with the Revdex.com of WI which is why we will take care of the balance due to Mr. [redacted]. It is in Spring-Green's best interest to remain in good standing with the Revdex.com.
