Springer Realty Group Reviews (1)

Review: We contacted a realtor [redacted] for a lease/purchase property from Springer Realty. We are working on our credit thus the reason for us wanting to do a lease/purchase. We found a home that was for rent that we liked that was rent to own. The real estate agent said we needed to pay $70 for an application fee and he would let me know the outcome. He first reprimanded us on our credit report and what needed to be fixed and then never got back to us if the owner would be interested in renting to us. He was unprofessional in appearance and had horrible customer service skills. Not only did he knock us down for the nicks on our credit report he never answered any of my emails or got back to us if we were accepted to rent the property. I told him my credit score and he said oh it should be fine and made me drive to a location to drop off the $70. Never in my life have I worked with a realtor that had no customer service skills plus just dropped us like he did not know who we were. We rented a property through a realtor and she was so helpful every step of the way. With [redacted] we were treated so poorly because of our credit scores.Desired Settlement: I want my $70.00 back for the credit reports that were pulled that no one obviously seen accept for the realtor [redacted]. I asked him numerous number of times if we had bad credit would we get accepted and he said as long as you don't have over 100,000 in debt. I also want to know where my credit information was sent to and if it was ever sent to the correct person.

In response to complaint ID [redacted] against our company, please see the response below from my agent.

On June 11th, 2013 I was contacted by complainant about rentals and lease purchase properties off of an online ad. They were looking for a lease purchase property in the [redacted] area. I emailed them that day a property which they were interested in on [redacted].

After reviewing the listing they decided they wanted to see the property that day. I conducted a pretty thorough phone interview discussing their financial situation and I was told that both their credit scores were in the 600 range. They said they had been repairing their credit and trying to get on track. They did disclose that one of them had a bankruptcy and I told them as long and the information they provided was correct I didn't foresee a problem getting them into a lease purchase property.

We scheduled an appointment to view the property that day. After seeing the property I gave them both an application to fill out. I asked them if they could drop the application off at the listing broker's office in [redacted] since they were from the area and I had driven an hour to show them the property and I didn't want to do so again just to drop off an application fee. They informed me it was no problem.

They did drop off their application and fees at the listing office in [redacted]. Within a couple hours I received a call from the listing broker and he informed me that they would not be getting the property. He informed me they had two bankruptcies and their credit scores were a 486 & 523. He also disclosed to me that they had a purchase offer on the property and were going to accept that offer and take the property off the market. I also asked the Broker to send me a copy of their credit reports since the numbers he reflected to me were much different than what they had represented.

I have reviewed my email to be exact and on June 13th, 2013 at 11:09pm I forwarded her the copies of their credit report. I figured they had to mistakes on their credit so I sent along this message.

"Here is a copy of your credit reports.. It says you have 2 bankruptcies.. Your credit is maxed out at 94%.. It says he is currently 30 days late on an auto payment... Take a look and let me know what the discrepancies are..."

I spoke with her the next day and they informed me there weren't any discrepancies. They did have 2 bankruptcies instead of one, they were 30 days late on a car payment currently and that was probably their correct scores. After explaining the difference in their situation from what they had represented, I informed them that the house they were interested in had been taken off the market.

After June 14th, 2013 I was never contacted by them again, either through email or by phone. I assumed they were embarrassed by the mistake or had possibly considered taking the money they were going to put down to pay off some debts on their credit.

Due to their over 30 days late currently on their credit as of that month it would have been extremely hard for me to explain to a property owner how they would be a good prospect for a lease purchase.

Since I didn't hear from them I didn't push the issue.

They paid their $70 application fees to the listing broker. Not only did they write the check to them they personally dropped it off at their offices and I have the emails to prove it. I also have the outgoing email on June 13th, 2013 at 11:09 that proves I sent them the copies of the credit reports that I received.

I drove over an hour each way to show them a property. I helped them get through the application process. They didn't get the property because the seller ended up receiving an offer and it was sold and they misrepresented the full state of their credit in the initial phone interview.

Springer Realty Group never collected $70 from them. They personally dropped their fees off to the listing broker in [redacted].

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The Realtor had us drop off the fee and never told us anything or gave us any information that the property was being sold. I also called up and agent and the home is still listed, therefore again the company is not professional in the way they handle their clients or their business. If they have proof of contacting me via email to say the property was being sold I never received it, please email me a copy of that email. I never received a response back at all whether it was my credit or the home being sold.

In response to complaint ID [redacted] against our company, please see the response below to the follow up response from the complainant

When our agent had the complainant submit the application and $70 application fee to the listing broker's office, he was not aware that there was an offer being put on the house to purchase. After the application was submitted and reviewed by the owner and listing broker, our agent was informed that the owner was moving forward with an offer that was submitted to purchase the house instead, due to the credit.

If this email was not forwarded to the complainant, we sincerely apologize. Since the last response, our agent did forward on to the complainant the email that was received from the listing office to state this.

Again, Springer Realty Group never collected the rental application fee $70, as this was paid to the listing broker's office.
