Bought a new garage door through *** *** and they contracted out to Ultra-Light Doors in Calgary to install the door Someone came out and did an inspection of the residence prior to the door being installed to ensure that the area is ready for the install and that nothing else needed to be done to prepare for the install After receiving a check sheet from the gentleman who came out, it indicated that everything was fine and nothing needed to be done prior to the install Installer showed up and promptly told us that our tire racks would have to be moved before he could set up the door This would have been done prior to the installer showing up, if we had been told that it needed to be removed Somy husband, years old, had to then take down the tire racks while the installer watched (took about minutes) Then the door was installed Everything seemed to be fine until the cold weather hit Then the garage started to get stuck When we pressed the garage door button, it would only go up about foot and stop This was not a one time thing, so we called *** *** and Ultra-LIght Doors to let them know the problem (after all, we did buy an extended warranty for the door and installation) After a month of having contacted the business, we finally got a return call from Ultra-Light Doors to set up an appointment They gave us an appointment for three weeks later On the day of the appointment someone was supposed to be here between and No one showed up - at 12:(half an hour after the latest time they were supposed to be here) someone phoned to say that the truck had been in an accident and they would have to reschedule the appointment Appointment was rescheduled for weeks later (after THEIR Christmas holidays) Today is January 2nd Our appointment was scheduled for between and It is now 10:and no one has been here and there has been no courtesy call from Ultra-LIght Doors to let us know what is happening We tried to contact Ultra-Light Doors - left voice mails with different people, but had a very difficult time speaking to someone other than the receptionist There seems to be zero customer service at this company and don't seem to care about customer service Would highly recommend that you do not get your garage door installed by this company as it has taken us many wasted hours and months of trying to get our garage door fixed and they don't seem to care AND our garage door is still currently still not fixed!
