Springfield Buick GMC Cadillac Reviews (%countItem)

I contacted *** at Springfield Buick GMC initially back on 6/28/19 about being taking off Springfield Buick GMC's mailing list. After much back and forth I was told that Springfield Buick GMC does not send out mailed advertisements and that the advertising in question came from *** itself.

At that time I was either misinformed, or lied to, as in August (2 months later) I received a hand written envelope containing a hand written mote and business card from ***, the General Manager of Springfield Buick GMC. I called Mr. twice on 8/28/19 & 8/30/19 at *** and left messages, and have not received a call back, therefor I am now looking to the Revdex.com for help resolving the matter.

I do not want to be contacted by Springfield Buick GMC or any of their subsidiaries in any way shape or form, and I want to be removed from all of their mailing, telephone or e-mail lists.

As you can see above, this customer is clearly marked as do not mail. We do not have any other information. It is true that he probably did get a mailer that looked like it was from me but it was actually from a marketing company and not my hand writing. They did a zip code mailer and used public *** and DMV data to get the information. Please close the complaint as there is no way for us to stop a zip code mailing.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***. I find it difficult to believe that Springfield Auto Mart uses a third part to handle their direct mail. Furthermore, that this third party would bother to hand address envelopes and notes as well as hand stuff mailers with Springfield Auto Mart business cards. If that is the case Springfield Auto Mart must contact their direct mail vendor and have my information removed from their mailing list, and that is my ask if this is indeed the case.
Regards

We do use outside marketing companies all the time as do most dealers. This company does infact hand address envelpoes. Your name can't be removed as it was a ZIP code mailer. If you get things in the mail in the future then please just throw it away... Kennedy Marketing Group

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***. I did not start receiving this junk mail before I brought my vehicle to Springfield Auto Mart and I received more junk mail from Springfield Auto Mart only this weekend. Fundamentally, it is ridiculous to put the onus on the me to "throw out" junk mail that I did not ask for to begin with. Do the right thing and remove me from you systems and stop wasting everyone's time, money and resources.

Springfield GMC was dishonest with us and performed unsatisfactory repairs on our vehicle. Here is a timeline of the entire issue.

10/18/18 – Our 2009 Pointiac G5 would not start.

10/21/18 – Had the G5 towed to *** in Springfield, VT.

10/23/18 – *** at *** advised us it was more than what he was able to do, and it needed to be brought to a GMC dealer.

10/24/18 – We had the G5 towed from *** to Springfield GMC. They advised it needed a new fuel pump and associated parts. We were quoted a price of $1300+. We told Springfield GMC that was too expensive, and we would have it towed to another mechanic. The Service Manager, ***, told us he would take a look at the quote and see if he could do better on the number. He came back with another quote of +/-$900. We decided to have Springfield GMC do the work after talking with the Service Manager since that number was closer to a quote we received from another mechanic and we were told by the Service Manager at Springfield GMC the parts would be Genuine GM Parts going into the car. We were told they would order parts and it would be ready the following week (around 10/31/18). They gave us the run around with various excuses when it wasn’t done by 10/31/18. Finally promised it would be done 11/2/18. Called in the afternoon of 11/2/18 and was told again, they needed an additional part. It would be in Saturday morning (11/3/18) and the tech working on our car “was giving up his day off and coming in to finish the job.” Was not finished 11/3/18 as promised.

11/5/18 – We picked up G5 from Springfield GMC paid $888.07 check #***.

12/4 /18 – The G5's “Check Engine” light came on.

12/10/18 – Brought the G5 to ***, Springfield,VT to have the “Check Engine” light evaluated. Was told the fuel pump was staying on after the car started which shouldn’t happen. The fuel pump should shut off once the car starts. Advised to bring it to a GMC dealer.

12/14/18 – Brought the G5 into ***, Ludlow, VT to have the “Check Engine” light evaluated. Was told the relay switch to the fuel pump was bad and they temporarily swapped it out with the relay switch from the air conditioner until a new relay switch was ordered. “Check Engine” light was not illuminated after the relay switch swap.

12/19/18 – Brought G5 into *** for oil change and to replace relay switch. Relay switch had not come in yet. Was advised it would be in next day and to bring it back at any point after 12/20/18 and they would swap out relay switch.

12/22/18 – The G5's “Check Engine” light came on again.

12/26/18 – Brought the G5 into *** to have new relay switch installed and have the “Check Engine” light evaluated. We informed *** that Springfield GMC had replaced the fuel pump in early November. *** investigated the GMC database to confirm the work Springfield GMC had done. *** Service Manager informed us that there is no fuel pump listed on the parts list for the work order for our G5 in the GMC database. He told us that “if” the fuel pump was replaced, it must not have been a GM part, even though we were told it was genuine GM parts by Springfield GMC. *** evaluated the G5 and determined that the fuel pump had to be replaced. We asked them to please replace it.

1/02/19 – Picked up G5 from *** after the fuel pump was replaced for the second time and the *** Service Manager informed us that when the fuel pump was replaced by Springfield GMC they didn’t seal the electrical connections for the fuel pump. As a result of the fuel pump being housed in the fuel tank and being constantly submerged in fuel, he said that it was a matter of time before the pump would fail due to this incorrect installation. This time the fuel pump replacement cost $665.22.

The work and part were under warranty after completion. If there was an issue then they should have brought it back to us and we would have corrected the mistake. The pump should not shut off while the car is being operated as it needs to pump fuel. We did use genuine GM parts where we could. *** is known for lying to their customers about us as we destroy them in sales every month and they need to make us look bad. Again, mistakes happen and it is unfortunate, however if we did make an error, it was under warranty and wouldn't have cost the ***'s any additional money. They have not contacted us about this asking for a refund or to address the issue after their visit. We will not be able to refund their money due to it being under warranty and not have had the opportunity to fix the issue.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***. Please add your rejection comments below. We first lost trust in Springfield Automart in the very beginning when they quoted us +$1300 to fix the problem and when we questioned it, they immediately dropped the price by $400. That should have been a red flag. Then they kept promising the car would be ready and it wasn't. This happened 2 or 3 times. When we spoke with friends about our experience with Springfield Automart, the majority of people we spoke with had negative experiences with them as well. So, when the light came back on less than a month later, we decided to get another opinion at another dealership. We were told by Springfield Automart that the replacement parts would be genuine GM parts and those parts should have been registered in the GM data system. If that was the case, then the warranty for genuine GM parts should have been covered by any GM dealership, which is why we felt more comfortable going with another dealership. Once that dealership told us the parts were not listed in the data base, this just reaffirmed our suspicion and lack of trust with Springfield Automart. I went back into my files to verify about the GM parts but couldn't find my invoice, so I stopped by Springfield Automart to get a printout of the invoice (which included the parts list). When I asked for it, the person could print the invoice, but then started acting suspicious when I asked for the parts list. He called back to parts and tried to give me the run around about not having a parts list for that service. He said all he had was the "shop notes" for the service. This, again, just reaffirmed that they were being shady about the transaction. The next day, I did find the original invoice which included the parts list that had the genuine GM parts listed that we were charged for. If that was the case, then why was this part not registered in the GM data base and installed in our car? With all this shadiness and deception going on, we did not feel comfortable bringing our car back to Springfield Automart and getting more of a run around with them. We didn't want to blow this off because if they have done this to us, I'm sure they have done this to other people and we felt obligated to stand up and complain about their horrible service. They need to be held accountable for their poor service and dishonesty. We are hoping that by standing up, it will spur others on to also stand up, so that Springfield Automart will be forced to be held accountable and change their deceptive practices. We are still asking for a full refund on all the work done to the Pontiac G5.
Regards,
*** And

I really wanted to like Springfield Buick & the GM Corp. Despite Springfield selling me a new *** with dings on the roof, decals on it (I requested no decals at purchase), & a oil changed needed 100 miles after purchase. Mainly because I got (what I thought was) a good deal. The next 5000 miles changed my mind with two break downs leaving me stranded with less than 10500 total miles on the ***. During this span the entire GM team let me down including the CEO, Customer Care, and multiple dealerships. Even *** let me down refusing to tow a vehicle under warranty 120 miles away from. *** did not reimbursed me for the tow expense as the dispatcher said they would. See the video of the recent breakdown.

Mr.,
I am sorry to hear about our failure to not put our logo on your vehicle. You did get an amazing deal however. I am not aware of any further troubles you have had with the car? It is unfortunate that you left a 1 star for Springfield Buick GMC as it appears that you were happy with us other than the sticker. I can be reached at if you are still having issues. Luke M, General Manager.

This dealership is constantly boasting about what great deals they have so I recently went in during one of their big sales events, you know the kind, hundreds of balloons, extra sales people, etc. Sadly, the reality all you will do is waste the better part of your day and you won't get any deal at all.
Wanting to upgrade, I went in wanting to know how much they would give me for my trade-in, which was a 2017 with less than 20k miles on it. Well after almost 2 1/2 hours they still couldn't tell me that so, I left to run my errands. I asked for them to call me when they could answer this question, but it was IMPERATIVE that I stop back by there. So, two hours later I stopped back by there, only to learn they still couldn't tell me how much they'd give me for a trade so I left and told them to call me. Well I got down the road about one mile and the salesmen called me to offer me the EXACT amount listed in the Kelley Blue Book, Trade-in section. Wow, what a fantastic offer, (NOT). Oh, and if you think they're going to take any money of the price of their truck, they're not.
The bottom line is if you've got a whole day to waste to listen to a car salesman talk endlessly, just to end up with no deal whatsoever then by all means go there, but if not, you might wanna go somewhere else. What a complete waste of a day off.
P.S. You can go on their website and read all their wonderful reviews, but good luck if you want to write a review on their website. Somehow, it seemed to be the only part of their site that wouldn’t load. What a coincidence.
