I write in response to the recent complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] regarding the oral health care he received at Springfield Dental Care on July 25, 2015. At Springfield Dental care we strive to provide each of our patients with the highest...

quality health care experience possible and take pride in committing to each patient's oral health. As a result, we take any patient complaint or concern very seriously. Mr. [redacted] visited our office as a new patient on July 27, 2015. Our standard of care for a new patient is to provide a comprehensive exam, along with all necessary radiographs and a Velscope exam which is an adjunctive screening for early detection of abnormal cells. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] elected to leave the office before the doctor was able to see him and provide the comprehensive exam. Our business team was not able to adjust his initial payment before he exited, therefore; Mr. [redacted] does have a $20.00 credit on his account at this time. I have personally phoned Mr. [redacted] to discuss his experience in more detail and to offer for him to return to the office so we may provide the remainder of the services he expected when presenting for the $59.00 new patient incentive. If he is not open to this offer we would be happy to immediately return the portion he overpaid. We take all patient concerns very seriously and feel that it is unfortunate Mr. [redacted] left our practice having an experience that did not meet his expectations. As of the date of this letter, Mr. [redacted] has not returned my phone call. However; we hope he will accept our invitation allowing us another opportunity to better serve him.

I have not been contacted by phone or by any other media by anyone representing the Springfield Dental Care office. That statement is absolutely false. Nor, during my visit in their office on July 27th, was I offered a consultation by anyone other than the tech and business manager. The prospect of a comprehensive exam by a Dr. was not offered.
Their web site and their mailer promises an exam, X-rays, and cleaning for $59. I was denied the cleaning and was not offered any additional exam by a Dr. I still want the cleaning as offered.
