Springfield Motor Cars Reviews (%countItem)

The problem with the vehicle is that it has a very loud noise in the front because the lower control arm uses bushing that no longer work and this is the second time I have fixed it. At the dealer they explain to me that they can't fix that part, and they don't have the solution for that problem, Acura engineers are working to make a new part to correct that problem.
I explained that when my vehicle is ready to let me know but they do not know what time it will take the engineers to make the part, they tell me that it can take a month, two months or maybe more time. they want me to continue driving that vehicle with that problem but I explain that that noise is very annoying and that it is not fair that I pay for that error they have with the vehicle so they do not want to be responsible for that and they want to take away the car they gave me until they fixed mine.
I explained in a thousand ways that it is very unfair to do that to me and that it is an error of Acura that I could not ride in my car with that noise so annoying that they put themselves in my place as a client and that it was not my mistake, they told me that they couldn't do anything that would take the car and pick up mine with that problem. It is very painful for a company like Acura to do that to its customers.

Good afternoon ***,

I understand your frustration with the vehicle. We are doing everything we can to assist in resolving this problem. Unfortunately, there isn't a fix just yet on the manufacturer's side for the noise. They are well aware of the issue and they are actively trying to come up with a solution to this problem. The noise does not damage the vehicle and the safety of the vehicle is not compromised. We will be in touch with you as soon as we hear back from the manufacturer about a solution to fix the noise.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

The first thing is that as a dealer you can refer to the manufacturer as if they did not belong to Acura and let me tell you that dealers are the face of Acura because they are the ones who deal with customers directly and it is ashamed that they want to get rid of the problem cowardly, that It’s a shame that Acura is so irresponsible to its customers, I don’t know if it’s true that this problem affects safety, but nobody who buys a car will like an annoying noise in a new car, it’s a shame that you Springfield Acura treats like that to your customers who are not to blame for that car having that problem, you are irresponsible. And I don't agree that no customer has to drive their new vehicle that with so much sacrifice they acquired and that you so irresponsibly want customers to pay for their mistakes. What a shame.

Sent inquiry to the dealership on what I am willing to pay for a vehicle, David Z...the general manager replied to ask what type of vehicle we currently drive to check if we qualify for any rebates/incentives and offered the price he can give. I emailed back to confirm and Kenneth C...their Senior Internet Coordinator, replied and agreed on the price. He gave me the VIN number of the car, I made the deposit, filled out the pre-approval online, got approved and had set the date to pick the car on 12/14/2019. I called the 12/13/19 in the morning to make sure everything is good for pickup since Saturday is a busy day. Manny L....sales person assigned to take care of us called to say there was an error in the price, we were given the conquest incentive for $750 in error and they can only give the car if we pay $750 in addition to what had been agreed on. They had wasted so much of our time, put a hard inquiry on our credit, I had already added the vehicle to our insurance policy and the least that these guys could do especially David Z.... is to talk to us and apologize for their big mistake and poor customer service or offer something to work out something to make the deal go through. It was supposed to be my surprise christmas gift to my wife and now I’m left without a present because of their poor management and most importantly customer service.

Purchased my car on July 4, the next day I went to open the rear cargo door and it sounded like a whale also the seat when I used the ventilated seats it would have a loud sound first time I drove it me and my family did not hear it because we were always talking about the new car. Then when I went back to the dealer I ask them to please exchange it I got an answer saying "you put miles on it" in which I replied "of course I did I can't be taken days off from work how you think I'll pay this car" and I had called to let them know I was coming on my next free day. Resolution to that I was out of the car for 3 days while they install a new hinge because they had to take out the head liner to get to it and for the seat making noise there was a piece of paper in the way making the noise. Now temperatures started to go down and I started hearing brake noise and in the seats when they move it is also squeaking a lot but brakes are the worst is a brand new car and when I pulled to an old car it sound like mine is the old one but I was close to my oil change so I waited until it was due at first the service adviser had no knowledge of this issue and that all cars do it. Then he comes back and tells me there is a service bulletin on this and the rotors need to be replaced but nothing about the seat. Call again and also called Acura directly about this in which I wasted 3 weeks waiting for Acura Springfield to give me a call because according to Acura customer service they contacted the dealer ans supposedly the dealer call me but I have no miss calls and no voice mails. At the end Acura customer service tells me there is no fix and I have to wait until my next oil change and ask again to see if they can fix then I call Acura Springfield and now my Acura adviser tells me they removed that bulletin because it did not work and have to wait, Now my screen do not work and they tell me that is also a know issue and for me to disconnect the battery terminals "I am not the mechanic"

Springfield Acura (NJ) purchased my 2017 Honda CRV on August 29, 2019. Payoff amount was approx ($24,000) on Saturday, September 21, 2019, the car was sold for approx $27,000. To date October 3, 2019, the car has not been paid off to my bank. The payment was due October 1st. My payment is now late, I will begin to incur late fees as of the 10th of October and will ultimately be reported to the credit bureaus for late payments. (My credit score is over a 750 ) They sold a car they did not yet own. I have repeatedly called Honda Financial Bank and the Springfield Acura Dealer to no avail. I want this bill paid before my credit is destroyed or my car returned to me so that I can continue to make payments, please help me! As of October 1st no one answers my calls nor returns my calls...

That’s on May 11, 2019 I had to list an Acura MDX from Acura Dealership in Springfield New Jersey at that time I traded in my jeep grand Cherokee which had three months left of the lease agreements which Acura agreed to pay out it is now May 8, 2019 and they still have not done so and *** which was the leaseholder is threatening to put me in collections after making numerous of phone calls to Acura this problem still is not taken care of I am a 62-year-old disabled woman and I need help and I’m hoping this agency can help me

On 07/10/2019 I purchased a vehicle 2013 Ford Escape and it was paid a amount of $901.18 referring to State Sales Tax of Indiana because I was moving to Indiana and I needed to transfer the car to Indiana. After more than two weeks on 07/27/2019 I went to BMV in Fishers IN to transfer the car, but I was informed by the officer that the State Sales Tax was not paid yet, so I paid again $901.18. Next day on 07/28/2019 I sent an email to Mr. David Z that is the legal representative of Springfield Acura the receipt about the second payment that I did and asking for a refund of $901.18. He never answered my email. Then I tried for many times contact him by phone and one day he answered and told that he will contact me. He never contacted me to say when he will send my check with refund. And ignores all calling.

To Whom It May Concern:

We are truly sorry for the miscommunications. On July, 25, 2019 we shipped *** the vehicle title to his Indiana's residence. The reason why Mr. David Z did not respond to his email was because he went on vacation from July 27 - August 23, 2019. David authorized the refund check on August 26, after reading *** email. We truly apologize for the inconvenience and we overnight it the refund check on August 26, 2019, via *** tracking # ***.

Please let me know if there is anything else that we can do for ***.

We purchased a vehicle May 4th. When we made the deal with the dealership to purchase the new to us 2017 Toyota Tundra we agreed to trade in our 2007 Toyota Tundra under the agreement that our rims and tires from our old truck would be transferred to our new vehicle. While waiting for the service department to switch the rims and tires they told me the only issue may be if they did not fit. My husband was certain that in fact they would fit our new vehicle. The service department was able to "fit" our old rim and tire on one wheel. They claimed that they were not able to get the other rims and tires off because the wheel lock was stripped. My husband had just replaced the brakes and calipers on our old truck and the only way they would have been stripped was if your service department had done it. First, they told me the could switch them and had me sign all the paperwork for the new truck and once I was done signing they said it could not be done. Our old rims and tires were practically new and $2500. They only gave us $12,750 for our old truck. Nothing was done to compensate. Then our registration. I told all involved that everything was to be in both names. The registration came in only my name and they have yet to correct it. Next we purchased in Jersey we had to have the vehicle inspected in PA. It did not pass inspection. The brakes were a zero, which means they were completely gone and grinding the rotors. The dealership said the only thing they could do was send a check for $250.The cost to repair was $310. The truck would not start 5/23 due to a dead battery. The cost to replace was $190. Again the dealership would not cover. We were charged a $1295.00 inspection and delivery fee with the purchase.I am confused what was "inspected" as the battery died shortly after purchase (which can and should be checked) and the brakes were non-existent, which is an obvious safety issue. Numerous times we asked to speak with the manager to no avail.

I bought a used 2015 Acura TLX. It smelled of air freshener but I thought they just went overboard. When I found all 3 air fresheners and removed them from under the seats and in the books in which they were placed, there is a cigar/tobacco smell. Horrible.

Bait and switch with my loan. I signed A loan contract taking a loan with *** bank only to find out my loan was not with *** and that it was with *** I went back to the dealership and spoke to the general manager he said that as long as the rate and the terms were exactly the same he could assign the loan to somebody different .got my 1st bill in the mail today and the rate is not exactly the same as he said it was supposed to be by law I need somebody to investigate this matter

During the delivery process the customer requested a lower payment. We explained to her in order for us to do this we would have to switch the term from 75 months to 84 months, which she initialed. See enclosure. Initially she was approved through *** with 75 months term. When she switched to 84 months we had to switch her to ***. It seems like there was some confusion and she thought she was still going through *** financing. On the Buyers Order she signed it said financing Capital One. Our Finance manager forgot to the change the bank name on the Buyers Order. She returned on December 22, 2018, in regards to the issue with the financing companies and Buyers Order. After careful review we noticed the bank name was never updated and we apologized. The rates increased from 75 months to 84 months financing. Because we did not update the Buyers Order we decided to refund her for the amount change on the rate. See enclosure for the check refunded. So there was no further misunderstanding we wrote down the terms and agreements with her, us, and *** at a rate of 7.81% for 84 months at $334.13. We both reviewed and signed the document. See enclosure. Let us if there is further actions for us to take.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was mislead. Bottom line. I am not disputing they didnt try to make the situation right. They switched my financing with a rate so high the bank that it was "reassigned " to couldnt legally charge me the rate the dealership assigned and had to lower it to 7.51!!! They tagged on so much to the rate the bank couldnt legaly charge it. That was the finding from the banks investigation. I have an 815 credit score. If that seems legit to you then disregard.

I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH SPRINGFIELD ACURA. MY CAR WAS RETURNED BACK IN THE BEGINNING OF AUGUST 2018 EVEN THOUGH THE LEASE MATURITY DATE WASN'T UNTIL SEPTEMBER 10TH 2018. AFTER THE PERSON IN THE FRONT GAVE ME AN ATTITUDE ABOUT RETURNING THE CAR ON THAT SATURDAY, THEY TOLD ME THEY DO NOT TAKE RETURNS ON SATURDAYS WHICH IS SOMETHING NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT BUT THEY STILL TOOK THE RETURN. I WAS NOT GIVEN ANY PAPERWORK AT THE DEALER THAT THE CAR WAS RETURNED NOR DID ANYONE TELL ME THERE WAS A FEE I HAD TO PAY BUT I DO HAVE PROOF THE CAR WAS RETURNED BECAUSE I HAVE A RECEIPT FROM THE DMV OF THE PLATES BEING SURRENDERED. THE DEALERSHIP NEVER REPORTED THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO ACURA FINANCIAL AND I WAS BEING CHARGE A LEASE EXTENSION FEE & AN EXTRA MONTH OF HAVING THE CAR. THE CHARGES WERE OVER $1000 AND I EXPLAINED TO ACURA FINANCIAL THE CAR WAS RETURNED OVER A MONTH BEFORE BUT DUE TO THE INCOMPETENCY OF SPRINGFIELD ACURA THEY FAILED TO TELL ACURA FINANCIAL THE CAR WAS RETURNED AND THEY MADE UP A FAKE DATE THAT I RETURNED IT ON SEPTEMBER 25TH WHICH WAS A LIE. I HAD TO CONTACT SPRINGFIELD ACURA AND THEY PROCEEDED TO TELL ME "THEY MESSED UP ON THE PAPERWORK UPSTAIRS" BUT WOULD CONTACT ACURA FINANCIAL TO HAVE THIS TAKEN CARE OF AND EVERYTHING WAS GOOD TO GO. THERE WAS A BIG MESS BECAUSE OF THIS CONFUSION ON THEIR END AND THE ACCOUNT WAS ADJUSTED SO MANY TIMES. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM CREDIT KARMA STATING THERE WAS A REMARK ON MY CREDIT REPORT SO I CHECKED AND SEE THAT ACURA FINANCIAL REPORTED THAT I DID NOT PAY A RETURN FEE THAT I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF, I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS. I PAID THE FEE RIGHT AWAY AFTER I CHECKED THE REPORT. HAD I KNOWN THERE WAS A FEE, I WOULD HAVE PAID IT RIGHT AWAY. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH SPRINGFIELD ACURA AGAIN LET ALONE ACURA AFTER THEIR HORRIBLE SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED EVERY TIME I WAS THERE AND NOW MY CREDIT SCORE WAS DAMAGED BECAUSE OF THIS.

I did not respond sooner because when *** came to our dealership we helped her with all the information she needed. The issue I encountered today is that *** is not happy when we advised her that Acura Financial Services is charging her $350 disposition fee for not purchasing the vehicle + NJ State tax.

I attached a copy of the Vehicle Lease Agreement she signed on 9/10/2015.

They charged my card for 5,000 for a deposit on a car before any paperwork and did not even confirm with me. THEN it took them two days after me calling and calling to actually issue the refund. Would NOT recommend giving them your business.

Springfield Motor Cars Response • Jul 26, 2018

The customer was fully aware of the charge. On 7/23 at 12:21PM she used her PIN based debit card with CHIP, *** she paid a $200 deposit. She returned on 7/24 at 5:00PM she used a credit card with CHIP, *** and she paid $4,800 deposit. She signed the credit card receipt. The customer returned on 7/25 demanding for her refund and she was upset because she wanted cash back. We cannot do that. Today, 7/26 the account receivables clerk refunded both transactions and it should take 3-5 business days for her to see the funds available in her credit card account.

I my brother take my vehicle to this location the initially for an oil change . It was determined that my axel needed to be replaced, my brakes and engine filter . A bill print out for generated for the cost of replacing everything. I had extended warranty and looked it up and seen that my axel was still covered and called the dealership which is the same delearship I purchased the car from and they verified that it was indeed covered to bring the car back in for them to replace it. When I bought the car in before picking it up I mentioned to the service rep that the car rom would flustered and cause the car to jerk and and I was concern about this as well . He told me to bring the car back to be checked and I told him that since my warranty is about to expire I would like to have the car diagnosed to make sure everything was good because I have toddlers and wNted my vehicle safe and have whatever covered . He made me aware of the diagnostic cost and told me being the car in this is now the third visit . About two days later I start hearing noises after still covered underground warranty but now I schedukr to bring the car in third time after warranty then diagnostic was done then told I need new shocks along with other warranty parts totals $1300 spoke to supervisor who told me CS t do anything warranty over

On September 25th I initiated a dispute on my credit card account for $1841.47 with Springfield Acura.
The following is the events leading to the dispute.
We purchased a vehicle from them on 9/23/2017, we paid for the vehicle, went home and decided to purchase an extended car warranty. I called the dealer and gave them my *** card number to purchase the warranty in the amount of $1841.47.
The warranty was through *** car care, after calling several times we were informed there was no warranty on my car due to Springfield Acura never paying them for the gold care warranty. At this point I called Springfield to question this and was told we have the gold care warranty. This went on for several weeks, wth *** confirming our warrany was not in effect each time I called. I decided to cancel this warranty because I felt something shady was going on.
When we cancelled this warranty with Springfield Acura they informed us that they can't refund us back to our *** card which is the way we paid for this warranty. This further raised my suspicions. When I questioned how they would issue the refund they explained it would be credited to our *** car loan we took to buy the vehicle.
After numerous communications with *** bank we found no such refund was ever issued. Attached are the correspondence with *** proving this true.
Springfield Acura is no longer communicating with us in reference to this refund.
I feel the only way this refund should be issued is through the *** card that was used to purchase it, not through a car loan. The two have nothing to do with each other. We purchased the warranty at a later time, not during our vehicle sale.
This dealership is not trustworthy and deceitful. They never paid for the warranty and have not refunded us for 2 months already.

I bought Honda Odyssey 2015 from Springfield Acura. The price finalized was 26500 plus reg. charges and documentation fee. Which was clearly mentioned while locking the deal. Sale man Andrei B clearly told that their dealship doesnot charge PREP fee only documentation fee and registration charges,Vehical tax and the car price will be taken that's it. It was confirmed twice. Rate was finalized with the Finance manager. Even there was a piece of paper on which he had the price of the car and info about document charges. Now when they came up with the final invoice the number total number shown was 28726.60 which I was told its told with the tax included. And that's what it show in the receipt also. I didn't do the tax calculations they did themselves and they were so good to me that I trusted them totally. Even I should have did my calculations but I was excited to get a new car and believed on the respectable person sitting in front of me. But they are professional sales ppl and know how to end up things :) Later when I go my tax details with the price of the car mentioned on that. I was surprised that they charged me $385 extra. When I checked with them they said its PREP charges which they already told there will be no such charges. Now they are just making this up. Also my number plates were delayed and they said they will reimburse for my car rental which they haven't done yet. I have communication emails also. Finance manager Jeff was sometime rude on the call don't know how to talk to the customer. When they are wrong here they should accept it. Instead of telling me you should have checked. I know they have mastered this thing to bluff ppl. Today when he called me after me threating that I will reach out to Revdex.com. HE said now you are claiming after 2 months. Come on I am asking them since long time and they are just dragging it. I have the emails. and call records.
