Springfield Parking Authority Reviews (1)

Followed directions from employee which caused damage to my vehicle without any accountability from business.Problem date: [redacted] 2015Purchase date: [redacted] 2015Manager: [redacted]On [redacted] I drove my truck to the Mass Mutual Center Parking Garage. My truck hit the height limit sign of the parking garage. I told the lady working the ticket booth that I'd turn around and find another parking spot. She informed me that my truck would be fine if I paid an extra 5 dollars and parked in vip. I was told the ceiling was higher and the truck would be fine. After the sixth support beam my truck struck the top of the garage. I sent an email to [redacted] on street parking manager. I explained the situation to him and all I was told was I had to file a report through my own insurance. I got a quote to fix the truck and I was told it was between [redacted] to [redacted] dollars. I will not use my insurance due to the fear it may rise. I'm surprised that a business would not take any accountability for botched parking expertise. Like I mentioned before, I had no problem leaving the garage to find another parking spot. However, I was convinced from the parking attendant that my truck would be clear to park in VIP. Obviously this was lie. Now I have to pay [redacted] dollar plus another ** for parking for listening to employee of Springfield Parking Authority. I have email traffic of the whole event.Desired SettlementI would like them to pay for the damages to my truck. See above for estimated quote.Business Response Regarding the claim for damages, Mr. [redacted] received a timely response to his request for a report and was advised to report the matter to his insurance carrier. The incident occurred on [redacted] 2015 and he was given a copy of the report made by our security contractor on [redacted] 2015 for his use. Height restrictions/limits are clearly marked throughout the garage. Staff in the facility are employees of Executive Parking, not the Springfield Parking Authority. Matters assessing liability or determining negligence, if any, to the proper parties can be resolved through the process of making a claim under his policy.
